Boasting spectacular views of the North Devon coastline from the hilltop town of Lynton, The North Cliff Hotel is positioned some 500 feet over the shore below.

Ideally located with rooms overlooking the sea, Rebecca, Steve and Josh welcome you as their personal guests. They have a beautifully appointed sitting area, a separate room for muddy boots and a spacious dining area with an “honesty” bar. The room we stayed at was very nice.

Room was very clean and well maintained although a little warm for our liking, but we opened the window and it was fine. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent.

The Olive Branch provides accommodations in Ilfracombe near Wildersmouth beach and Watermouth Castle. Each accommodation at the 4-star bed and breakfast has sea views and free Wifi.

The room was very charming. The bathroom was small, but immaculate. I loved the view. The armchair was also especially comfortable. If I had had more time to spend in the room, that would have been a great place to relax and read. Unfortunately, my stay was too short to lounge, but I'd love to go back to Ilfracombe and would definitely stay at the Olive Branch again. Plus breakfast was wonderful! And the staff served us early so we could make the ferry to Lundy. So, thank you!

This hotel is in a superb location with fabulous sea views from some rooms, we were able to drink our own wine on a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. The rate we paid for this privilege, with breakfast, was about £70. Although the hotel is rather tired, the staff are all excellent, as was breakfast. Value for money is outstanding. You walk straight out onto the cliff walks with the most stunning views. I have been visiting this hotel for about 30 years now and always look forward to returning. Thank you.

The staff were so kind and helpful. The hotel had a really relaxed vibe and I loved the "Honesty Bar". The room was a single, which was really comfortable with great views out to sea. Really nice shower. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. I would definitely stay here again as a base for exploring this part of Devon. 5 Stars, no question.

Alison & Victor are lovely, friendly and welcoming. We felt totally at home in their clean, spacious and well cared for home. Breakfast was excellent, better than other places which brag of cordon-blue trained chefs. The setting is superb with great views and masses of bird life of many species ensuring there is always something to look at. We have stayed at many of the top-rated hotels / B&Bs in Lynton and this by far the best for conviviality, food and value for money.
