Nice room, comfortable beds, very clean, up to date despite motel appearance. Good coffee maker. Isolated town, we arrived just as hotel restaurant closed 8pm, even the Subway at the gas station closes at 8. We found 1 hotel restaurant open until 9. This was in Feb, off season.

Room was large, quiet, and very clean, the king-sized bed was extremely comfortable, the view was unbelievable, the Rim Rock Restaurant right at the end of the motel was outstanding. The national park boundary was only about a mile away. Other motels, even farther away in Torrey and Bicknell, were more expensive, sometime MUCH more expensive, but I don't think they could have given us a better experience. We weren't expecting any breakfast at all, so the coffee, tea, fruit, and granola bars were a plus for us.

Hard to fault this property. Superb location, very comfortable and clean rooms. Very helpful staff. Good restaurant on site. Price seems right, much higher standard than a typical resort motel.

Other reviewers gave this property an "Awesome" Rating of 9 and we agree. Good beds, clean, micro and frig, and an excellent general store right on the property. All good. Book this property and note, it is NOT a motel, it is now called the Austin's Chuckwagon Lodge which better describes it. It is NOT an old musty motel so good they changed the name which is more appropriate. Top class property.

A really nice place. We mostly stayed at the "chain motels" during our roadtip but this place was absolutely a better choice. Nice room, well cleaned. The pool was good. Breakfast the best during our two weeks in the US! Nicely decorated around the property. Thanks a lot!

The location is good, right outside the entrance to Capitol Reef. It is a budget motel and it met all the requirements for a room in that category. The price was better than other accommodations in the area.

Our stay in Torrey was great, it's location in relation to Capitol Reef National Park is perfect. We did not know what to expect at Motel Torrey, it was a throw back to the small Motels along all the old State Rtes. It was wonderful, we were greeted by Michelle , gave us all the information we needed and made great suggestions for dinner that night. Our room was exceptionally clean everything neat and tidy, we wish we could have spent another night in the area. We would most definitely recommend staying at Motel Torrey.
