We heard many great things of this hotel. However, it exceeded our expectations! Everyone was so friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious and worth everything! There was a variety of onsens and we went early in the morning at 5am and had the place to ourselves. I would highly recommend staying here for a few days. We will be back.

Only about 6 minute walk from the train station. The onsen! It’s a public onsen but well worth the experience. Also, the shower in our room was inside a bonafide wet room. Water pressure and everything about it was great.

Beautiful hotel - great area. Very walkable to many Kyoto sites. Lovely roof top bar and Onsen to relax at end of a long day. It is true, the rooms are small. However they are very well designed and we had no problems either space - it just takes a bit of creativity to figure out the best way to store your suitcase. Minor problem that certainly doesn’t impact how lovely the hotel is overall.

Everything about this place is phenomenal, from the building to the staff to the room itself, it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were very spacious and stylish, and the shower and in-room onsen bath made it feel like we were spirited away to a mythical land.
The included.breakfast was a fabulous taste of traditional Japanese cooking, and the staff went above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience and make us as comfortable as possible.
Absolutely top notch value, highly recommend!
Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as "onsen," these hotels offer a relaxing soak in therapeutic, geothermal waters. Traditionally onsens were located outdoors, but a number of hotels now offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with "kuroyu" black water famous for its positive effects on skin.

Clean and comfortable room, perfect central location. Great breakfast included
Very clean spacious Japanese style room with tatami mats; Hot spring baths in the hotel; Free coffee & ice lollies; Excellent location very near Kyoto Station and Kamo River. Pricey but very sumptuous breakfast.
The service was lovely, the couple that ran the Ryokan did everything to ensure I was looked after. The stay was very cozy, and the room was gorgeous and well looked after. The private onsen was very relaxing after a long day, too!
Friednly owners, who allowed us to drop our baggage before the check in, cute ryokan with very comfy futon beds, private onsen is just a plus to the whole experience! Owner suggested us to explore Kyoto at night which was a great idea (magical and no crowds)! We loved the whole experience! Great value for morey, would 100% visit ahain and I have already recommended it so several friends who are travelling Japan
Awesome hot springs hotel in Kyoto. Location is good, 10 min walk to the Kyoto Station. Has everything you need in the hotel. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet they got so much food. Appreciate that they give you a passcode for the women’s laundry as well as the onsen to make women feel safer. Whole facility very clean.
Location was excellent! It's situated right next to Kamo River which was just so beautiful and there is a park that stretches alongside it. The ryokan itself is also very nicely done with a zen garden. The onsen was wonderful and well equipped. It had a hot spring feel to it. The kaiseki breakfast was top notch. Special mention goes to the milk which is really tasty. Room was great. It was big and spacious and the window view of the river and the trees just mesmerizes you.
