The room was beautiful, the breakfast was divine. The service was warm, friendly and very helpful.

There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. Nice and clean , full breakfast, lovely and warming , parking is convenient

The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cosy and had everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is perfect — close to shops, restaurants and public transport, yet quiet at night. Breakfast was fresh and varied. A pleasant, comfortable hotel with a warm atmosphere. I’d happily stay again.

Built as a private house in 1914, the hotel has hosted King George V and other members of the royal family. Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Was nice but with limited options. Still it was manageable.

Breakfast selection was nice and fresh! Location was close to everything, a Tesco right in front, bike rental shop, cute little stores, etc. Quaint rooms - lovely view of the town! Facilities - the outdoor hot tub was great!
