Sausalito's famous water walkway, which offers shops, restaurants and views of Alcatraz and San Francisco, is also less than 500 metres away. Totally exceeded our expectations. It's an expensive hotel, but we are talking about the Bay Area, where everything is pretty expensive. The room was insane. We had an amazing view of Sausalito Downtown and the bay. It's worth the money spending a little bit more money (as we did), to stay on one of high level rooms. When we entered to the room, it was better than in the Internet pictures, which never happened to me before. High cellings, huge doors, all accomodations, king bed super comfy. Another detail is that we got to our room by a Tesla Model X. It was my first time on this tesla model, and eventhough it may not seem great, for me it was so cool.

What a wonderful hotel - from the warm welcome on arrival to every detail of the stay. Super comfortable rooms (we had 4); breakfast delivered to your door but on a tray so you could head up to the deck overlooking the Bay, Alcatraz and San Francisco beyond. The front desk staff were all helpful and friendly but we have to give a big Shout Out for Tom who went out of his way to make us welcome and help us with restaurant ideas, parking etc.

Perfect oasis before a work summit in the city. So beautiful and calm. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is super relaxed. We didn't dine in the evening, but the breakfast was delicious and speedy. The shop is also really good with so many nice pieces, including lots of clothing (dangerously good), and very attentive assistants.

Yes, it's lovely 1970s American Modernist feel could use a like of paint in places, but it more than makes up for that in its character and charm. The view from my balcony over woods and water to San Francisco was stunning--the hotel is on a panoramic ridge with views in both direction. It's a short walk to a trailhead that will take you down into Muir Woods National Monument and the giant redwoods (saving you the $15 entry fee and the $9 parking fee). I had the wild salmon for dinner which was also excellent. The staff were super-friendly and (I felt) actually cared about me and how I was doing (rather than just running through a script.
