The traditionally built, historic wood and stone house Flyhof in Weesen is a family-owned hotel, set directly at the shores of Lake Walen. Quaint historic inn. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and attentive. The whole place exudes warmth and welcome at a slower pace. Very attentive to our dietary needs (gluten free/celiac) and five star food. Quiet room with comfortable bed. Great hiking right out the door. Our favorite stay of a nearly three week European excursion!

In a quiet location above Lake Walensee, the Hotel Neu-Schönstatt offers a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the lake. Free WiFi is available and the Flumserberg Cable Car is 2 km away. Great location, beautifully presented. Breakfast was delicious with such a stunning view. To start with was a little taken aback by the automated check in, but it was highly user friendly and efficient.

Seminarhotel Lihn enjoys a quiet location in Filzbach on the Kerenzerberg plateau. It offers panoramic views of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten mountain and free Wi-Fi. Amazing location. The view in the valley is directly visible from the big balcony where breakfast is served. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

Situated in Flumserberg, 46 km from Salginatobel Bridge, Hotel Tannenboden features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The hotel is very modern and comfortable, everything was very clean and nice. Stuff was very welcoming, breakfast was tasty!

On the slopes of the Flumserberg Mountain, Hotel Bergheim is a 2-minute drive from Flums and the Tannenheim Ski Area. Owners were very friendly and professional! Good breakfast and great location

Just 300 metres from the Maschgenkamm Cable Car, the Cristal Hotel is right next to the slopes and a ski lift of the Tannenboden/Flumserberg Ski Area. Very nice family run hotel 3 min walk from the gondola. Clean and comfortable room, comfy beds, bathroom very clean. Nice lobby area. Easy check in. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Excellent breakfast - great variety, fresh food, tasty freshly baked bread, home made jams, good coffee. All in all we loved our short stay.

Set at the entrance of the Glarus Alps, lintharena ag enjoys a quiet location in Näfels. It offers rooms with private bathrooms and cable TV as well as 4 bed rooms with shared bathroom on the floor. Great facilities, if you stay here you can make use of the swimming pool and spa (including saunas for free). Also well located with a bus stop in front of the door, with buses to the Näfels and Ziegelbrücke train stations (for connections to Zürich and Glarus) and to Mühlehorn (for the Walensee). Alternatively it's a 15 min walk to the train station. Also if you stay two nights, you get your train tickets for free from the local tourist authority (make sure to apply for this at least 4 days in advance, search for "ÖV-Anreise Glarnerland").
