I booked a room with a lake view but I got a view of the lake and the ocean and the bay behind the lake. The breakfast has a lot of choices. The beach is only a five minute walk away and there are a few beach chairs and umbrellas reserved for hotel guests. The beach is beautiful and the water was so clear and warm. There are a lot of watersports, so there's often a bit of noise in the background. The hotel pool is ok for swimming. For children there is a bigger pool at the hotel next door. I want to thank the housekeeping staff. They must have noticed that I prefer the coconut drink to the beer in the minibar and started giving me more coconut drinks. That was very thoughtful.

We were picked up by a transfer from the airport; the car was spacious and comfortable, fitting four suitcases. The seats had a massage function. Our hotel room was simply luxurious—very spacious, clean, and functional. We also opted for breakfast, which had an incredibly diverse selection. Everything was delicious, and the ingredients were fresh. The staff was very attentive. If we visit Haikou again, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Nous sommes venus 2 fois.
Nous sommes venus 2 fois. À notre arrivée de Pékin en avion, le choc du climat a été rude pour nous qui sommes du nord-est de la France. Ensuite, nous avons fait le tour de l'île, y compris à travers les montagnes et nous sommes revenus après une quinzaine de jours. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les contacts simples et chaleureux avec la plupart des gens Très peu parlent Anglais, mais même ceux qui ne parlent pas vraiment le mandarin font tout pour communiquer. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le marché (même si nous en avons vu beaucoup d'autres dans les campagnes) et nous avons aussi apprécié le musée de Hainan, d'autant plus intéressant que nous l'avons vu après 15 jours de présence sur l'île.

Since it's a transport hub, you may have to go through Haikou when coming to Hainan, but basically it's just an average big grey noisy Chinese city, so not worth staying there.
