Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food, beautiful view of the historic bridge. A great location in a fun city. Free parking in a town that has very little parking.

The Renaissance is housed in a 17th-century mansion in central Castres. It offers air-conditioned rooms with traditional and antique furnishings. Each room also has a private bathroom and TV. I found the description of this hotel so interesting that I decided to go out of my way to stay here instead of continuing on to Carcassone. I had a huge room in Renaissance style with so many features and special ornamentation from that era. It was like spending the night in a museum of decorative arts. The hotel staff speak perfect English and we're kind enough to bring my bags to the room. The location is easy to find with GPS. It's not a very large city and there's plenty of free parking within convenient walking distance although the hotel does offer valet parking for a fee. This overnight was one of the highlights of my trip.

Hotel Europe is located in the historic heart of Castres and 67 km from Carcassonne. This 17th-century townhouse has a mix of Baroque, Italian and Spanish architecture, and free Wi-Fi access. What an interesting little hotel. Every inch is fascinating and the hotel is a destination in itself. My room was modern with all amenities you could want or need. One entire wall with a mural of Venice (which bears some resemblance to the homes on the canal in Castres). I believe every room is different but I suspect equally charming. The service was great, I had trouble finding the hotel and they actually came out to find me when I was stuck down the street and didn’t know how to turn my car around :). Highly recommend a stay here!

Great hospitality (thanks Matthew). Lovely breakfast. Highly recommend that you book the two bedroom suite if the stay us for your family. It was stunning and very comfortable.

The host is very friendly and service is excellent. Big bedroom and bathroom. A great shower in the bathroom. Slept very well in their comfortable bed. Enjoyed very much the sumptuous and quality breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel (Villa) is an ancient majestic house, refurbished but keeping its original flavor. Our suite was really comfortable, spacious, quiet and nicely furnished. We did not have any neighbors since the construction keeps every room isolated around its 4 walls. Very clean and equipped. Location is excellent, 1 minute walk from the main plaza where all restaurant and main shops are located, far away enough to be quiet despite local events taking place there. Breakfast was great, with hot cooking if desired. Staff is very friendly and resolute. Sabrina made our stay very nice.
