The staff was incredibly helpful, the room was excellent and the environment as well, given that it's a skiing resort. That made it a whole lot more interesting for us.

Hôtel Fleur des Alpes is located in La Brigue in the Alpes-Maritimes department and offers panoramic views of the mountains. We stayed here for 2 nights in late-May and can say for certain it is the type of place we look for when we travel, especially when our primary plan is to hike. It is a small, well managed, clean property that is family owned and operated, which in this case translated into friendly and great service. Our room had everything we needed, was clean and a nice view of the mountains, with the sound of the river outside our window at night. We enjoyed happy hour on the front patio after hiking each day but what really made Hôtel Fleur des Alpes special, in addition to the great staff, was the restaurant. We had dinner here both nights and the food was excellent. It seems clear they try to use local products whenever possible. We also enjoyed breakfast each day, which is included in the rate. Again, we love finding well run properties that focus on their guests and provide great value – we hope to return to this property again someday as it exceeded our expectations in every way.
