The reception personnel was very nice, I would give a bonus to the male receptionist as he went above and beyond for us to feel welcomed. Comfortable beds and pillows. The food at dinner was great and I recommend you to make a reservation for dinner. Good choice for breakfast. It has a pool but we did not try it.

The proprietor and his wife were very friendly and helpful about places to eat for dinner (although they don't speak much English we speak a bit of French) - we ate at a popular pizza place down the road cos they had vegetarian options - and the breakfast in the hotel was excellent. The location, in the Sologne, not far from the Loire, is good for central France if you want to stay rural and there are pleasant local walks through woodlands and by lakes.

There is private secure parking which was particularly important for us. We loved everything about Lá Chaumiere and its staff.

Lovely setting close to the motorway though extremely quiet. Set in acres of land that would give opportunity for woodland walks. The hotel grounds have a lovely long drive and grassed area perfect for playing with our dog. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The staff pleasant and food delicious. The restaurant is very good and breakfast superb. You can take your dog into the restaurant and for breakfast in the morning.
