The room was spot on, it was nice and clean, also the beds were really comfy. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We had breakfast twice .. the food was very delicious and just enough for a great start to the day.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Bryn Melyn Farm Cottages is a holiday home set in a historic building in Bala, 35 km from Horseshoe Pass. Fantastic and well-equipped accommodation - perfect for us. The surroundings are beautiful. Our dog liked his stay too. The owner was also both welcoming and helpful.

Featuring a sauna, Lake View Farmhouse Escape is set in Bala. Located 24 km from Lake Vyrnwy, the property provides a garden and free private parking. This property was beautiful and the views out the windows were stunning. We had a very comfortable 2 nights in the property. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of glasses, plates and cooking utensils and a large range oven, making preparing food very easy. There is 2 indoor fireplaces which the host provided kindling logs and firefighters for which was a really nice touch. The sauna was also wood fired which was very easy to set up and enjoy. There were 5 double bedrooms with comfortable beds and a washer and dryer in the property which were handy. Lisa and her family were incredibly responsive and helpful. It snowed when we were there and we were worried about struggling to get back home due to conditions, Lisa’s dad came to the property who has farmed the land and eased our concerns. He even took us onto the farm to meet the animals which was a really nice touch. The town of Bala was located a 20 minute drive away which was a nice walk around with plenty of amenities. We spent most of our time here sat around the large dining table relaxing and taking in the views of the Welsh mountains. We would love to revisit in the summer as I can imagin the views are equally breathtaking. Thank you so much Lisa and family

Featuring a garden, Llety Cariad is located in Bala, within 37 km of Horseshoe Pass and 45 km of Chirk Castle. The 5-star holiday home is 20 km from Lake Vyrnwy. We travel around a lot and always choose an apartment as it offers more freedom. We’ve stayed it lots but nothing comes close to this! Absolutely beautiful apartment recently renovated. The owners Karl and Helen are amazing. They have thought of every single detail. Even leaving us mince pies and some wine. Not a single item not thought about to make our stay as easy as possible. The apartment was so clean and smelt amazing. Very comfortable bed. Finished to an incredibly high standard. Bala its self has always been a favourite place of mine it’s now by far the best place ever, as my partner dropped to one knee and asked the question . On speaking with the owners who were so helpful and kind about our experience and stay that’s when they informed us that Llety Cariad translates to the Love Inn in English. Bala itself is beautiful and the community spirit is great. Amazing food available at the pub next door. And don’t be fooled by small town they do wild nights out! Everywhere we went was so welcoming and friendly.
