Turlough
Our hosts were so gracious and accommodating! A lovely hospitable family to stay with. Their B&B was impeccably clean and nicely decorated. The rooms were roomy and with very comfortable beds. The location and views are peaceful and beautiful. You're surrounded by picturesque Ireland, including sweet farm animals. What a traveler is really looking for. Pictures don't do it justice. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and plentiful. We highly recommend staying at the Burren Rock Farmhouse B&B!
The view from the hotel's lounges and breakfast area is absolutely beautiful, with the Cliffs of Moher just off in the distance. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and served fast, which gave us that much more time to head out and explore the Burren! Laundry service was available (extra fee, but reasonable) and although they said it might be the next day before it was delivered, we got it back that night. Beer & wine are available in the ground floor lounge and are not overpriced.
Doolin
The accommodation is beautifully positioned in Doolin village: easy to walk in whatever pub! It is also perfectly placed for exploring the surrounding area, including The Burren. Our room wasn't too much big, but nice and cozy, completed by a private bathroom with a very functional shower (hot water and good water pressure!). Even if there was officially no breakfast served, there was a complementary small buffet offered in the morning: very much appreciated. Free parking was also a plus for us.
Doolin
We loved our stay at Mary's Meadow. The cottage is charming, very clean and well supplied. It was really cold outside but the house heated up nicely. Heaps of space (there were only two of us but it would have been comfortable for a family). Lovely view from the living room to the coast. Very handy to Doolin village (great base for visiting Aran Island, the Burren, and the Cliffs of Moher). Having a washing machine and large drying rack was good. Security deposit was returned promptly.
Liscannor
On our travels around Ireland, this was a little oasis of luxury. Room was fabulous, a real step up from the norm with great view. Jonny was really helpful both before we arrived, with suggestions for visiting Cliffs of Moher, and booking local restaurant. Also really pleased we followed his advice to visit the Burren, which wasn't in our plans, but turned out to be a highlight of our trip. The continental breakfast was a delight, with local and homemade goodies.
Doolin
A true bed & breakfast (I noticed that quite a few places in Ireland are listed as B&Bs but don’t actually provide breakfast). You get a choice between pancakes or traditional Irish breakfast (both delicious!) plus there is toast, fruits, granola, milk, juices, teas and coffee. Martin is a wonderful host. Excellent location to explore the burren, cliffs and cave and minutes away from the cute little Doolin town. Highly recommend!
Doolin
Located right near the cliffs of Moher and not far from the Burren, this is a perfectly situated B&B for Wild Atlantic travelers. Bernadette is the absolute best host anyone could hope for on a visit to Ireland. We were checked in quickly and offered a time-appropriate beverage. The breakfasts we had were delicious and plentiful. The rooms were perfect, with ours facing the sea. Would stay longer if we’d planned for it!
Ennis
This was probably the best property we stayed at during our 2-week tour of Ireland - both in terms of comfort & value for money. Magda was a great hostess & the bungalow was very spacious, beautifully furnished & decorated plus in a great location for exploring Co. Clare. We particularly enjoyed exploring the Burren. We're just sorry we didn't stay longer & are seriously considering returning
Ballyvaughan
Top rate facility!! The room was so comfortable and clean. Everything was easily accessible. The breakfast was huge and delicious!! The family who run Cappabhaile House were SO helpful and gracious. They made the stay like coming home! 1000% would go back there and will recommend to anyone who is going up the west coast of Ireland. Ideally situated for trips to the Aran islands, the Burren, Doolin and Galway.
This was a fantastic small hotel within easy walking distance of Lahinch Beach. The restaurant in the hotel is exceptional. I looked forward to the breakfast every morning, which was the best I had in Ireland. I was also within easy driving distance of the Cliffs of Mohr and the Burren. This hotel was also popular with golfers since it's just across the road from the golf course.
We enjoyed our stay in Ballyvaughan. The little town is compact and friendly. The waterfront area and nearby local walks are lovely and the location is perfectly situated for visits to Galway, the Cliffs of Moher and sites in the Burren. The hotel has a slightly run-down feel to it but we appreciated its funky layout and it's accomodating staff.
The location is perfect for everyone who looks for a peaceful place in that corner of Ireland. The structure is far less than 15 minutes from the cliffs of Moher and very close to the gate of the Burren's national park as well. The staff was very kind and helpful and they gave us some gaelic lesson! A free park is available close to the hotel.
Ballyvaughan
Super unique stay. The hotel was right above a mountain spring so you could get fresh spring water directly from the source. Family room was spacious and breakfast was a fantastic spread. The self-service bar and cozy library were added bonuses! And it's nestled right in the burren, making for stunning drives every time we left the hotel!
Ballyvaughan
This was our second stay, but I've been coming to Monks for chowder for 35 years! Part of me wants to give a bad review because this place is so special I sort of want to keep it a secret. A great place from which to explore the Burren. Gorgeous place and fabulous welcoming staff. It will be a staple for our travels in Ireland.
A relaxing evening after a full day. Arrived around 5 pm, had great food and drink at pub down the street, followed by a leisurely and beautiful stroll along the beach...all literally within yards of the hotel. Comfortable accommodations and great breakfast. Perfect spot for early start on sites like Moher and The Burren.
Liscannor
Right in the middle of Liscannor right beside the bars and Resturants spotless clean real comfortable home from home everything you need is in this penthouse apartment close too the cliffs of Moher and the Burren less than 5 miles to Lahinch golf club and beach this was our 3rd time staying here it’s the business
Lisdoonvarna
Mary is a wonderful host and has a beautiful home that she has turned into self serve apartments. The gardens are so beautiful and so many interesting and pretty plants and flowers. The location is perfect if you want to explore both the Burren and Doolin/Cliffs of Moher area.
Kinvara
We found the room to be suitable for our needs. We appreciated the nicely situated bathroom with reliable hot water. The emphasis for our stay in Kinvara was touring the Burren and visiting the Cliffs of Moher; the former was much more accessible from this lodging.
Falls Hotel is a beautiful and well maintained historic property with gorgeous gardens and an excellent onsite restaurant. It was a short walk to town and a good location from which to take day tours to the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, and Doolin.
Doolin
Location was ideal for exploring the Burren. Driving in Ireland is more stressful than I'm used to so I was glad to be able to walk to dinner after a long day of touring. Spacious house and had everything we needed.
