Location is perfect for me since I arrived by car and it is within convenient walking distance to the restaurant area (Hirome market) and Kochi castle. And street cars run through right in front of it - perfect for pictures. Parking lot is behind (to the south of) the hotel and fees are paid at the hotel. Staff were friendly and made great efforts to communicate with us despite the language barrier. Room was out-of-fashion but still at the standard level of a Japanese business hotel. Had a good sleep.

It was perfect! We had regrets not staying more ! The host are really welcoming and attentionned! They both spoke very well english, so if your Japanese isn't perfect it worth mentionning :) The room was big compared to the usual standard, with a personnal lavatory and the terrace above the river. I would highly recommend when the weather is warmer! The guesthouse is well situated to discover the area, even Kochi is not that far in a car ! Definitely recommend if you visit Shikoku!

This was a very affordable hostel to use as a "base-camp" for the pilgrimage around Kochi. After temple 28, I took the train here and left my bag to walk around pack-free and the cost, even with bus fare here each night, was more affordable than if I had stopped closer the temples every night. It's very small and minimalistic, perfect if you just want an affordable place to sleep.

The hotel is located by the railway station and close to Kochi Castle, which is well worth a visit. If you are there on a Sunday, go to the Market which runs from the Otemon gate, for about a mile. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The room was cleaned on each day. It was easy to adjust the aircon and there were the usual amenities left in the room. The WiFi worked well.

This hotel has a great downtown location in Kochi within walking distance to the central shopping arcade. It doesn't face the main street though, so you have to walk towards the canals. The breakfast is served in a Chinese-style restaurant seating, so it was a full grandiose buffet with lots of space. The breakfast is easily the best part of the hotel.

Excellent location just to the right of Kochi Station, and an easy walk into the main shopping area. An above average business hotel, clean and modern. Breakfast was a choice of 7 different "sets", one of them western. Since seared bonito is a specialty of the region, I had the seared bonito set both mornings, it was excellent.

The location was further from Kochi centre than I had appreciated but easily accessible for the Airport bus (Hoe-chi stop) - 5-10 minutes walk. The breakfast was Japanese specialities at their best which suited me but be warned there is not a continental alternative. The Breakfast Room is open in the evening for all, coffee on tap.

This stay is beyond incredible. We have traveled to Japan so many times, but Kami and Nook's Kitchen can easily be the top of our list now. Everything is perfect – the house is a wonderful blend of traditional and modern. Naoko-san is the warmest, most caring, and knowledgable host. We had the best time in Kochi thanks to her.

Good location within walking distance to restaurants in Obiyamachi, Kochi Castle and the train station. Washing machines available onsite at a reasonable cost. Car parking directly behind the hotel (800 JPY per day). Clean and comfortable room serviced daily. Free option of additional pillows. Breakfast included.

About 1km from Kochi JR station, the only way to the hostel is walking. Staff is good but available before 8pm only. Room is clean & comfy but Wifi is not good, it's connented but no internet. Male shower room is on the 2nd Fl but male dorm is on the 3rd Fl. Anyway, it's a good place to stay.

Location was really good, near the commercial street, the sunday market and Kochi castle. I just walked everywhere ! It's a very cute 2-floor japanese style house, very safe (lots of codes) and very convenient (kitchen, common room). Everything was perfect ! Thank you, owner-san !

The location of the hotel is amazing. Just a stone's throw across the road from Kochi Castle and not much further to Hirome Market! On site parking is also available for 1000 yen per day and you can drive in and out as much as you liked, which is amazingly convenient!

The room is big and comfortable, and its design is distinctive and convenient. The staff is kind when I raise to store my luggage temporarily. The location of this hotel is perfectly good. It took me 4-5 minutes to get to hotel from Kochi station.

Beautiful hotel in traditional Japanese style. We stayed in the Japanese style rooms with tatami mats to sleep on. Plenty of room and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Close to tram and bus stops. Highly recommend the train trip from Okayama to Kochi.

This was a standard hotel situated in the heart of Kochi. It had some useful extras to pick up in the lobby. The beds were fairly comfortable when compared to futons! The fact that we could park our cars in a nearby carpark was a bonus.

2 private rooms with dinner and breakfast included for less than any nearby hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. For the price, it's perfect and I would happily stay here again next time I'm in Kochi.

Great location directly opposite the station. Easy access to the rest of Kochi by cute trams. Staff on the front desk are friendly and helpful. It is a very Japanese hotel. Inspiring breakfast room.

A standard hotel room. Very convenient loaction in Kochi, close to the railway station. Would recommend it for all who wants to stay in Kochi for a couple of nights.
