Carra Konagi is an 1,100 year old building that has been restored to a high standard preserving many of the original historic features. We were lucky to get a tour of most of the guest rooms as we arrived before the other guest checked-in. There are 7 rooms with various interesting features and larger family rooms. The owner speaks English, Turkish and German and is a gracious and friendly host who's full of local knowledge. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff are all friendly, The place is cosy and comfortable, views and location are perfect. Breakfast is generous and freshly made. Rooftop terrace perfect for evening views or choice of comfy indoor areas to relax on 2 other floors. Car parking nearby at reasonable daily rates. We highly recommend this boutique hotel if you are staying in Mardin, Turkey.

The staff is a 10+ could not have been nicer or more helpful. Breakfast amazing - delicious, very varied, and enough for an army.

The property is recently renovated so everything is really nice and new. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Şanliurfa and only a couple of minutes on foot to the bustling streets of the bazaars. It’s a 10 minute walk from the fish lake and other historical places of interest including the museums which is a must see. Everything can be reached on foot. The location of the hotel is fantastic as is the breakfast which is traditional Turkish breakfast from the area. The hotel manager Bariş is lovely and very helpful, he knows people in the area including a fantastic and very helpful English speaking local called Cebrail (Gabriel) who knows the area very well and knows all of the important historical sites to visit in the region. Ali Murat makes sure that every morning you are happy and makes sure your rooms are clean and is very attentive. The Taxi Driver Hassan was also superb. One thing you can count on is a very warm welcoming experience where the hotel and the staff care about your welfare and if you come back really late they pop you a WhatsApp message to make sure you are ok! Some of the rooms have huge terraces and the rooms are spacious with everything you need including air conditioning. 10/10 hotel and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to be in a traditional high standard hotel in the heart of the old town but who also want a bit a quiet in the evenings. El viejo Mardin es un lugar precioso y auténtico y el hotel Gazi Konagi es igual de precioso y auténtico. Una manera perfecta de sentir que vives en Mardin. La ubicación al final de la calle principal es ideal. Cerca de todo y apartada del bullicio. El parking justo al lado de la entrada es muy cómodo ya que no es fácil aparcar en Mardin. El edificio tiene una parte antigua y otra más nueva. Elegimos la habitación en la parte antigua y era muy cálida y acogedora al estilo de las viejas casas de Mardin. Buen desayuno en el comedor de piedra. Personal amable y con buena comunicación. Y las vistas desde sus terrazas son un inolvidable espectáculo.

It would be wrong to say it’s one of the best hotels in Mardin because it’s not one of the best hotels , it’s THE BEST hotel in Mardin …. Location and accessibility is very important for this magical old town and this hotel has everything in its favour …. If someone wants to experience a luxurious, magical experience then this is the place to be….

El Mirsoum Han se encuentra en el centro de Mardin y ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado, jardín, conexión wifi gratis y terraza. Además, hay room service y restaurante. We stayed for three nights in a beautiful suite room at Mirsoum Han and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The employees (Davud & Diyar) always welcomed us with a smile. With their kind, friendly & always solution-oriented attitude they really made us feel very welcome. Smallest suggestions for improvement were implemented literally the next day. Before I move on to the tasteful rooms I have to mention the breakfast. We have been on the road for 2 weeks and the breakfast here has by far been the most amazing! Medina, the lady in the kitchen, went above and beyond to provide us with a different amazing breakfast every morning. She even made special vitamin drinks for me, because she cared for my pregnancy. I would come back here anytime just for the breakfast! The stone rooms with high arched ceilings are as beautiful & spacious as shown on the pictures. We had a fire place (Davud helped us set it up every night), an amazing copper bath tub, multiple cozy sitting areas beautifully decorated and a very big modern bathroom. We loved drinking the nespresso coffee provided and just enjoying the beauty of the room. Also the lighting in the room is very romantic. You can see in every corner of the hotel, that it is an acclaimed architect’s work. Also, the sitting area outside has a beautiful view of Mesopotamia. We would warmly recommend staying in this high quality hotel and love to come back.
