Located on Fenchihu Old Street, Fenchihu Hotel is only a 5-minute walk from Fenchihu Railway Station. At Fenchihu Hotel you will find a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk. Luggage storage are... The hotel is exactly as shown in the pictures, superbly located on the Old Street and just 1 minute walk from the bus stop (via a steep road). All the top walking trails are closeby, and even the fireflies area can be reached in less than 10 minutes late in the evening. The front desk staff all speak English and are cheerful and helpful. This hotel is famous for its bento box and dining area, and day-trippers flock here to eat lunch and take pictures. The room itself was large, warm and comfortable in the middle of winter, with a nice view over the rooftops even from my ground floor room (see my picture). It had a dehumidifier and I did not feel/smell any of the dampness that is common in this area. The bathroom was a little dated, but in full working condition and spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water and good shower pressure and drainage. The floor dried up pretty quickly, due to the dehumidifier. I don't think there is a better place to stay in Fenchihu and I would love to come back and visit.
