We were delighted with our stay and the staff were very accomodating. To get to the hotel, we had to cross by boat which was easily arranged and we were transported for our evening meal locally. The whole property was magical, secluded and peaceful. As an added bonus we saw Howler Monkeys at the resort in the trees as well as iguanas. Remember to bring bug spray - the hotel is on a river!

Close to the amenities of a city with a taste of the country. I enjoyed the hammock on the porch. It was so peaceful. One of the best solo retreats I ever had.

This is one of the most beautiful locations you'll ever find! Gorgeous aquamarine blue waters stretches out onto the horizon, and it's only a few feet deep so you can kayak far out into it without any concerns. The island operator Milly is as genuine and helpful as you can ask for. She seriously cares about the people who find Shaka and constantly goes the extra mile.
