Situated amidst abundant greenery, Sepilok Nature Lodge - Formerly known as Sepilok Nature Resort is a haven for nature lovers. I was astounded when we arrived. it’s pretty big complex, but done amazingly well: all wooden elements, batik accents, beautifully maintained. the common spaces are a pleasure to stroll around and the room itself was spacious, clean, with nice decor, huge bathroom and additional bathtub. loved it! on top of that the staff was helpful and kind, food and drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced

Super friendly owners. We were hungry when we arrived and they were making chicken curry for their lunch, and added us to the preparations. Very unique location. I slept really well then off the next day for diving.

Das Sepilok Forest Edge Resort ist ein natürlicher Rückzugsort in Sandakan und liegt 15 Gehminuten vom Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre entfernt. This is an absolutely fantastic property and resort. It is true to its name: it is at the edge of the forest and one of the further-removed properties in the area, if not the furthest. The staff is extremely responsive and will help you arrange anything that you wish to arrange in the area. I stayed in one of the basic chalets (so one step up above the dormitories) and it was amazing. If you have the money and it is at all possible, skip the dormitory and get the chalet. Yes, it's a price jump, but absolutely worth it. Spotlessly clean, drinking water upon request, wonderful private deck that I was obsessed with. Restaurant is top-notch. Air-con, which is a huge thing in Borneo. You should definitely follow their recommendations and make sure that you have a slip-off pair of shoes since you'll be walking between your accomodations and the restaurant pavillion frequently. Staff is extremely friendly. Anything that's within reason you ask for, you will get.
