Exceptional location, service, with friendly welcoming staff who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time in New Zealand. Everything was immaculate and so well done. Getting to pet the ponies and sheep and donkeys while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake was a bonus!

Set on a large country estate with sweeping gardens and panoramic views of the Wairarapa wine-growing region, Parehua Resort features an open-air bar and fine dining restaurant. We were travelling around Australia and NZ for almost a month and our stay at Parehua Resort in Martinborough was our No. 1 from all 15 different hotels we stayed at during our trip. We loved the whole area of the resort, the swimming pool, the tennis court, our beautifully designed, spacious apartment and the lovely staff. The place is located within a walking distance from the best wineries in Martinborough (there is also a possibility to rent a bike for 40$/day). We were lucky to witness a beautiful sunset followed by an unforgettable stargazing. It was truly sad to be leaving Parehua after just one night – we highly recommend booking at least 2-3 nights at this amazing place. Perfect for a honeymoon!

Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. beautiful views, comfortable bed and beddings were just right, excellent service and beautiful food and they were very flexible allowing us to stay long in the morning while we waited for the rain to stop before leaving the motel to start our hike. the community kitchen was comfortable and it had everything that we need to use. the toilets were so clean and showers just right.
