Communication by staff was exemplary and instructions to gain access to room after hours were great (might need to be more specific about which door to access). The room was spotless with really comfy beds. The bathroom was spotless with an awesome walk in shower. The kitchen was spotless with microwave, fridge (with wine for purchase) and hot plate for making breakfast in the morning. We thoroughly enjoyed having a cooked breakfast instead of the usual continental cereal offerings by most facilities. The setting was so peaceful and we had the best nights sleep. Thank you team.

Amazing luxury in the rooms and a very cool pool and spa
Luxury accommodation, peaceful surroundings, view of the lake, the ducklings, the cows the fresh air. Hosts very hospitable. Fabulous facilities. Wanted to stay another night. Very cozy.
Great location, walking distance to central Wellington. Good parking (though having to pay extra a bit rough - would be good if all inclusive).
The tranquil setting and luxury cottage exceeded my expectations. The grounds are lovely. The staff were efficient and friendly, particularly the housekeeping crew. The poached plums with the breakfast were awesome.
Resort team bent over backwards to help us through a ferry travel delay..
For over $300 a night this place advertises luxury. The room was majorly small and dark. Stayed three nights and the room was not serviced until after we returned from our activities around 3.30. The cleaning staff were obviously under stress. The included breakfast was only adequate nothing special. We ate at the restaurant one evening but the food was mediocre and the drinks too expensive.
Location and proximity to the city was great. It felt like a little bit of luxury for a good price.
We were looking for a family friendly motel and Fernhill met that requirement. It doesn't pretend to be a 5 star luxury resort yet it is definitely a huge improvement on budget locations. We particularly loved the large room size.
Rooms were beautiful & clean. Staff is very nice. Restaurant serves great breakfast. Everything is excellent in the resort
Central location. Clean and tidy. Comfortable and luxury linens
