The White Shell is an Eco-friendly Resort is BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certified. Great location, next to the beach and beautiful hiking areas. Very comfortable bungalow, feels like at home.

After a 6 day stay, our group of five can’t understand why Vale do Milho doesn’t have a 10 out of 10 score?! We LOVED the modern, huge, fully equipped condo and were sad to leave it. We were very comfortable there. The staff, Sandra and Andre did everything they could to insure we had a great experience and the cleaning staff did a fine job of cleaning our condo (unit #4). We would not hesitate staying in this gated community again and highly recommend it, to others.

Everything about this place is exceptional. It was like having our own private villa with a beautiful garden, palm trees, orange trees, a swimming pool, all located in the countryside. You need a car to get there - it is off on its own in a rural area, but a nice respite from the busyness of Carvoeiro. We walked into a nearby town (Lagoa) for dinner - about 25 minutes walk each way. Very clean and peaceful. Highly recommended.
