The staff, food, cleanliness, and the location. I'm a hiker, and the resort backed up onto the Drakensberg Gardens National Park, so many fantastic hikes. After a long day out on the trail, I could come back to a lovely room and relax, go to the sauna, or get a massage. Views were absolutely stunning! And if you have children, it's a fantastic place to take them: playground, swimming, canoeing on a safe pond, horseback riding, mini golf, zipline, etc, etc.

There is so much to do my daughter who is 7 years old, could not fit in all the available activities into a day! We had a wonderfully fun-filled vacation, from horse riding, to magic shows Alpine Heath is definitely the perfect destination for families with younger kids. The rooms were clean and staff were extremely attentive, we had atleast 2 check-ins per day from cleaning staff to ensure we were happy and comfortable.
