It was only a basic motel room, I would not recommend it at full price.

    Clean good size room.

There are few improvements that I think would make it better. First one may be replace the metal bed frame with the wooden frame. If not then all the nuts and bolts needed tighten and add protection bar in one of the bunk bed (missing in one). Please replace pillows with a bit thicker ones. Last one add more security lock in the door from inside.

I only stay for a night with my family. I like the location and value for money for family room.

Great little place to stay, comfy and cosy. Really easy to check in, it’s all self check in so if you are arriving late the details of your room is sent to you and room unlocked and ready- was really great for us as we arrived late afternoon. So we could grab our key drop our bags and head off to explore and do our thing. The shower is amazing, was exactly what I needed after spending hours out and about. The only con for me, was there was no bedside lamps, not a huge deal but I’m a night reader and a lamp would of been handy, so I didn’t have to get up and turn off the light when I finished reading- I also had my son with me so he had to put up with my night reading with the lights on haha!

Restaurant was closed but there are nearby options.

Room was comfortable and quiet. Restaurant was closed for renovation but there are several options in walking distance, including one next door. If you need any grocery supplies, make sure you bring them or buy them in Bright. Location is perfect for access to Hotham. The property is right at the start of the climb up the mountain. The cycling facilities continue to develop with The Great Valley Trail running to Bright.

I still intend to stay here next year and will be interested to see the outcome of the renovations.

On the morning when I left home I received an email to advise that due to renovations there would be no reception and the key would be in the door of my room #4. I may well have not checked my email that morning in my rush to get away! The room was not serviced at all during my stay, I am usually not too fussed about this, but in past years my room was usually serviced halfway through my stay. I ran out of tea, coffee, shampoo and conditioner. There was a mobile number which I texted for the more important issue of wifi password but got no reply - maybe there was no wifi with the renovations? The room could have been a bit cleaner eg there were cobwebs in the corners - I am not too fussed about this but the next guest may be. Finally the lighting was not really good enough for reading - maybe just a lamp would have helped. I'm sure in past years there was a lamp on the bedside table.

I stay here every year for 9 days when the Harrietville Music camp is on in the height of summer. I like the South facing rooms with verandah (unlike the large north facing windows of the only other motel in town). On the plus side the place was quieter with the pub being closed for renovation, and this year I had no problem with the TV .

It was a shame there was no fan or air conditioning on a very hot night. Noise from nearby football matches was distracting. Pub was closed for renovation. TV did not work. We didn’t see anyone.

Good location. Great shower with good water pressure and hot water.

Unfortunately the lack of WiFi in an internet blackspot makes it very difficult to contact family and friends or keep up to date with life stuff. The vent in the bathroom lets in all the local ant colony (seriously bring a can of Mortein)

The Motel is clean and relatively comfortable. The rooms are big if you have a lot of activity gear which you’d prefer not to leave in the car. There’s a microwave and a fridge in the room too!

Pretty basic and decor was dated. Pity there was only 2 teaspoons, 2 coffee mugs and 2 glasses. Could have done with a bowl or plate as we bought our own breakfast.

Bed was very comfy. Shower had great pressure. Good towels and bedding. Nice and clean. Pub was closed for renovations which made it nice and quiet at night.
