Very convenient location to go hiking. We have really enjoyed the spa, especially the panoramic sauna. The restaurant was also very good. It was a lovely weekend!

The spa area is very spread out the hotel and not in one common area. So you have to walk around and take elevators to get to different spa areas. Also not one common rule of “textile-free” and “textile” area. Didn’t like the fact one sauna was textile-only.

Leaving the hotel

Excellent breakfast with a great variety of everything, very professional and friendly staff. The highlight every evening is dinner at the restaurant. While the Black Forest in general offers already a superb cusine, the Sonne Restaurant clearly stands out. Whether for a business trip (like me) or a vacation its always a pleasure and excitement to return.

The only little downside is the high temperature in the room. It was suggested to turn on the aircondition or leave a window open, which sounds like ecological suicide to me.

It’s a very beautiful property. It’s clean and well preserved. The rooms are very bright and offer plenty of space. The staff was very friendly and offered help whenever they could.

Although we selected this room for the different views(Mountain, river etc.) it was mentioned to offer, any view from our room/ balcony was covered for the most part by the side of the mountain on top which the hotel was located, which was a bit disappointing.

Nice location, food and drinks, service and pleasant staff with some good aesthetics sense in the room deco. The personnel at the massage centre and the reception were friendly and nice and the waitress at our table was more than ready to provide some good recommendations A crib was provided for our 4 month old son.

Less choices of the lunch and dinner opportunities around the hotel. The dinner at the hotel is also available but it costs a bit considering the contents of the dishes. The restaurant at the hotel can be booked beforehand but it takes a time to be served. If you have a kid, I recommend you to order the fast serve menu otherwise kid is getting tired to wait the long dinner time.

It was just perfect. Surrounded by amazing nature. The hotel is clean in highest level. Nice breakfast, friendly staff. Anette, the owner is carring lovely Lady. Rooms are big with large balcony. They really thought about all the details to make the stay comfortable. Perfect.

Really very nice hotel, modern, big rooms, quiet, with excellent facilities including a beautiful inside pool. Breakfast is great, just as the dinner. Great wine list for those who appreciate. Very friendly staff, forthcoming and great service. Parking space, including for bikes! Can really recommend.

The coffee machine didn't work in the morning for breakfast. So just normal black coffee with cold milk available. They fixed it, so the next day, we could have Cappuccino and Latte Macchiato again.

Room was perfect. Clean and great shower. Spacious (even with an extra bed for our kid). Swimming Pool was amazing and good size and the whirl pool outside was also great.

Breakfast is good, although could have more options. Wifi is not great. The hotel is set in a quiet village, with amazing nature and hiking trails, but there is not much to do there. You'll need a car to get around as the closest supermarket is 3km away. Renting a car at the airport is a good option as Offenburg and Strasbourg are quite close.

The hotel is a great value for money. The rooms are quite spacious, spa area is pretty nice, food in the restaurant is nothing short of amazing. There is a big parking and a nice playground is very close by, so pretty good for families.

We had two single beds next to each other, but they had little wheels and tend to move quite easily. The Wi-Fi signal was very unstable and I was told that this is the general issue in the whole hotel.

We spent a couple nights relaxing after Christmas. It is a nice location with nature around. We and our little daughter like swimming pool, saunas, etc. The personnel were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was amazing.

We don't have complains regarding the Hotel. Everything responded to our needs. We will probably visit that hotel again.

The Breakfast was good, their was enough different choices so that you most people should be able to find what they want / need.

Everything was perfect.
