The has the 'charm' of the 1990s and the rooms are quite small - we booked a double with an extra bed for a young child and there was hardly room to open the balcony door. The bathroom was very small - not really up to a 4-star (and for the price that was charged)

The location is very nice close to the forest and breakfast was good. Hotel staff was very friendly. The pool is relatively small, but the sauna area was very nice. The Italian restaurant next to the hotel (3 min walk) was very good!

parking is possible a bit far from the building, in case arrived late

wellness is not big, but even enough. You can have cold beer in the wellness. The restaurant is better to reserve a table before dinner.

Nice staff. The restaurant served a very good buffet for dinner. Breakfast was very good also. The hotel is not particularly close to the town. I think it is walkable but we arrived later than we would have liked to and so we had dinner in the hotel. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the trees. The bathroom was very very very small. Other rooms and price points would presumably have bigger bathrooms (so that should not be taken as any sort of negative in this review.

Food can be better, but probably i have not get used to german food yet. And i did not expect that territory is that small, while you have a forest nearby it is still not the same.

I wanted to go for a walk in the morning but did not find any path since there is a big camping nearby and a few roads. probably I was in a hurry but it did not feel so much in nature.

Our room could have been a tiny bit cleaner but the rest of the hotel looked very clean!! After reading other reviews I was a bit afraid of the bathroom with the small shower but we actually got a room with a big floor shower!

- the wellness area was perfect for what we needed! We spent a lot of time in the quiet room where they were playing relaxing music in the background, it was nice warm and in between we could use the sauna, swim a bit or go outside on the deck if the sun came out - the food was amazing! Big choice for breakfast, you could make your own waffles and they were delicious! You can make your own muesli/porridge and I am sure everybody will find something. The had so many different options of bread/buns. They got pancakes. Ready done made eggs or you could boil your eggs as you like them! As vegetarians we had plenty of options, if you are vegan though the choice would be quite limited! But I could imagine, if you give them a heads up before you arrive, they would arrange something! We had lunch & dinner there as well and it was just fantastic! Huge choice of vegetarian dishes (if you order à la carte) and both of us were full every time which is rarely the case with vegetarian dishes in restaurants! - the staff: everyone was super friendly, thoughtful and we just felt very welcome!

I do not recommend this hotel at all - I feel robbed and cheated. In what world is this a 4 star hotel? I agree with all the low score reviews and would rather stay in a 60 euro motel, which would be more comfortable and up to date. - teeny tiny bathroom (1m x 1m) and outdated furnishings in the room that smelled old - horrible pillows and uncomfortable mattress - no smart tv and internet of 1mbps, which is veeeeery slow - swimming pool rather small and located next to the restaurant? and old with a small sauna improvised in the corner - dirty terrace full of cigarette buds - location not green but rather looking out into car park, a frumpy caravan park and soccer hall - no nice outdoor spaces - surcharges for a baby cot…..

For the price of 160 euro, nothing met my expectations. Only positive thing I could mention was the reasonable breakfast buffet.
