United KingdomHuge problems with electric upon arrival. Given 3 different rooms Finally found one about 11.30 pm. So many people in reception with issues Pool was dirty. Should have been cleaned on a daily basis. Service around pool was slow but that wasn’t their fault. Lack of staff. Another management issue Those that were working were lovely Roof top bar very poorly manned. It might have been early in the season but as paying customers, we expected good service and we didn’t get it Finally. Room service wasn’t great

NetherlandsThe bathtub filled extremely slowly – it took nearly two hours and there was barely any hot water. For three nights, there was an annoying high-pitched noise in the room. Nothing was done about it, although it disappeared on the last night. Rooms were clean, but the hallways were less clean.
Beautiful room & spa, good breakfast, and the staff was very friendly.

United Kingdombroken bathroom fixtures shower head, mould, shoddy painting. damaged roof near lift. its a nice 4 star this is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch. spa staff were on phone all the time, didnt supplu robes, flip flops, speak about lockers, supposed to be clinique... poor.
breakfast was good, all the food was 5 star but the rest of hotel wasnt. dinner and lunch service was poor, no apple juice- but i went to other bar and got one. We have no steak or chicken- we were first in restraunt. then they found s steak. first time ever ive not left a tip for a 250 pound meal that tasted excellent- service staff ruined it at rooftop .

United KingdomThis is such a wonderful hotel, what an amazing find! Very accommodating front of house staff, and super welcoming for families, however my only flaw was that some bar/restaurant staff aren’t that friendly or helpful, and you don’t want a room facing a the building site opposite currently!! Spa is amazing, and the kids hour is such a bonus. The kids club itself is fantastic too! Would recommend the rooftop restaurant as the food was amazing.

United KingdomI had the worst room service I have ever had; the most awful club sandwich , outrageously priced and cold chips. The lighting/curtains/ AC switches are ridiculous to manage / understand and the king size bed is not king size- it’s two single mattresses.
Very nice setting in a lovely town. It’s an expensive place but I had a nice corner suite with a superb terrace

PortugalThe room (we had a full suite with a terrace) had many issues - the shower that permanently went from burning hot to freezing hot, always with no pressure; the bed that had terribly uncomfortable pillows; the sheets that were too small for the bed and you inevitably ended up sleeping directly on the mattress; the nice looking but impossibly uncomfortable sofas in the room (there was nowhere comfortable to sit!); the see-through bathroom; the lack of toilet paper and towels; etc, etc, etc.
Location was very good and so was staff. Breakfast was nice (even though in the week we were there nobody took our order for eggs; not a single day!). Restaurant food was nice as well, although options were very limited. Room was spacious with a nice balcony.

I have been coming here every year for the last 5 years . Love this hotel . Very chilled out relaxed vibe . As a solo traveller they make you feel so welcome . The rooftop bar and pool is spectacular. The spa is so relaxing and very well kept . The staff are always smiling and friendly and helpful .

United KingdomThe menu options are so limited for a 5* hotel- and there are very few vegetarian and vegan options. Even simple things like pasta- there’s only one kind that a vegan/vegetarian person can have. In general it’s one of the slimmest menus I’ve ever seen in a hotel like this. Another really strange thing is the lack of labelling for food allergens etc.- we always had to ask and guess what a specific item was at breakfast or lunch buffets- and to worry about allergens. I think it’s a health and safety issue to not have labels like that. In addition, we checked out at 6am for our flight back and asked for early breakfast in the room. They brought us ham sandwiches! We couldn’t eat anything. I would have either expected more variety or that they ask us about allergies dietary requirements etc before bringing it. Another thing is the hotel says it’s beachfront but it’s really not- you don’t get to walk out and into a proper beach. There is the sea, marina etc but not an actual beach with sand and sunbeds. Nowhere to relax. The closest beach is about 15 mins walk and that’s a really tiny crowded one.
I loved that the pools were heated- for real. No matter the weather you could enjoy a swim and that was so great. The views from the rooftop are amazing, the housekeeping and cleaning is really good and efficient. The breakfast was nice. The area is far from the city centre but still a lovely area with lots of little shops and great restaurants. It feels very safe and family friendly. All the staff are nice and helpful.

Outside of one expensive (but lovely) restaurant, no food options post-7pm except for room service so not very helpful for families. Room cleaning inconsistent and staff would enter rooms immediatley after knocking at all hours, at times dirsupting a sleeping baby.

Great location, facilities were excellent. Although one night we used the gym and the lights switched off half way through, we spoke to reception who switched on, 15mins later and back in the midst of a workout, they went off again. It was 9pm at night so the room was pitch black.

United KingdomThe hotel had a private function on one of our 2 days there so we were unable to use the facilities on level five which was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel; so we were sad to not be able to use the facilities for a full day and night, but made the most of it on the other day.
The room was fantastic, beautiful view, and the adult only pool and bar on level 5 was wonderful. We didn't have time to use the spa but the facilities were amazing, and the restaurants were superb. Breakfast which we paid for to have included was incredible with a vast choice to suit any diet or preference. The hotel is a really lovely stroll away from the marina which is alive and buzzing with restaurants and bars.

United KingdomI wish the rooftop was adults only in to the evening as well but understand why it’s not. A few more umbrellas or sun cover at the rooftop area.
I loved the rooftop pool and bar that was only available to adults until the early evening. The spa is amazing. The breakfast was excellent. The Peruvian restaurant is incredible and they very kindly let me order late one evening which I was very appreciative of. The yoga class was wonderful. The concierges were superb as were the front of house staff and the staff at the restaurants and bars made me feel extremely welcome.
