Everything was just great!

Wonderful people, working there, is the key impression. We spent an absolutely lovely family weekend in the hotel. Thank you for the amazing location, services, facilities and attitude!

Cons: The biggest issue I encountered was with the room temperature. I need it to be cold in order to have a restful sleep and, despite turning the A/C down to 18C and high speed, the room still felt lukewarm. The pillows are "too" soft and did not provide much neck support. The bathrobes are small (and I'm not particularly tall or overweight).

Pros: The staff was very welcoming and attentive, particularly Amir at the front door. The building, decoration, and room were contemporary, modern, and sleek. The room was spacious and comfortable, with great lighting, including natural light. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The shower's water pressure was amazing. Location is excellent, close to top-notch restaurants and sites of interest. The restaurant, Virens, is supposed to be great, though we were exhausted from traveling and opted for room service instead, which was better than expected and promptly delivered. Breakfast was decent. Would stay here again.

We were advised that our room was not quite ready and that we could wait in the roof top lounge. We were assured that an employee would come and take us to the as soon as the final inspection occurred. After waiting for more than three hours to be taken to our room and without anyone advising us of the room’s status, we decided to return to the front desk and told our room had been ready for much earlier but that a mistake had been made. A most unfortunate occurrence!

The hotel was amazing and perfect for my short trip to Barcelona. The staff were extremely attentive and were always very helpful. Friends who visited who were staying at The Nobu hotel said they would all book here next time.

This was our second stay in this hotel, but because of room, it was not so good as first one. Actually they have two buildings- if you have room in first building (corner building) it will be ok. Second building rooms are less fancy - not bad, but definitely not the same.

Excellent restaurant and hotel staff. Near everything ! Just couple of minutes from Gaudi house.

Really can't find something I didn't like

It exceeded my expectations in every aspect . Everyone was super polite , facilities were great, located in the best part of the town where you can enjoy everything equidistantly and breakfast was one of the best I had in a hotel. Lastly the price for all that was very reasonable , I would have expected to cost more for all that or not to be as good as it was for that cost. There is no other place I'd stay in barcelona when I visit again .

The rooms could do with a bit of a refresh. The room rates are very expensive. My family stayed at the Almanac a few days before leaving for the countryside to attend a wedding. We decided to come back to Barcelona after the wedding to spend a few more days. However, the room prices increased so much we decided to switch to another hotel for our last few days in the city.

This is our second time staying at Almanac Barcelona. Rooms are bright and are a good size. The beds were comfortable. Location is very good and the staff are helpful. We enjoy staying in this neighborhood because there is good shopping and good restaurants nearby and it's easy to get around. I like the decor of the hotel. Try to reserve a room on a high floor with balcony and a view of the street. It is very nice and not noisy at all.

The reception bar and restaurant area was a little small

The hotel was very nice, well located for walking into the city centre and also to the old part of Barcelona. It was also within a nice walk of the Sagrada Familia. It had a nice relaxing roof top pool and bar with views across the surrounding skyline

The breakfast, the fruit was delicious but the hot choices were limited, the coffee was not strong enough, for 38 euros it needed to be exceptional but the savoury hot choices and coffee let it down.

The room and staff were lovely, the hotel felt comfortable and luxurious without being too flash and the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the roof top bar.

Disappointed in rooftop pool area. Had expected a swimming pool and found it was a wading pool! Great for children but not adults.

Buffet breakfast excellent. Room suite was wonderful with great picture windows and views. Bar area on roof very nice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent location, could walk most places and metro round the corner.

housekeeping was very poor, had to ask them to vacuum carpets which had dirt from previous guests. Also breakfast could have been much better. Restaurant and room service food too finicky no simple food.
