Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNo early check in. I could leave my bags, but the check in person arrived right at 3 and several of us were ready to check in.
Very nice luxurious room. I was not expecting it. Very comfortable. Windows opened over pedestrian street below. The nicest room in six weeks of budget European travel. I could have stayed longer.

United KingdomMy roaming call and data add-on hadn't kicked in on arrival - it did so nearly an hour later. There was a note on the door with a number to call for access as the hotel reception had already closed - I arrived late, a little before 21h00.I couldn't make a call but luckily the bakery staff next door were working late and very kindly called on my behalf and keyed in the code for the box on the door. The hotel is also not English-speaking so this was doubly helpful. I was therefore able to gain access. I found that the toilet in the bathroom did not flush. My brief overnight stay was otherwise great.
Great location, short walk from the port, easy to find on quaint cobbled main street in old town, great restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Hotel has a lot of character, modern, well-lit interior, lift to all floors, room was clean, featured good lighting options and was and equipped with all the basics. It also has heating/aircon which was very effective and was operated from a control panel by the door.

United KingdomCheck in - 1hour and 40 minutes we waited having rang a number 4 times and no success and sent emails. We informed at the time we booked we would arrive at a certain time. Reception was not obviously manned like it said on the wall ! Language barrier was a problem when trying to ring a number to check in and even the patisserie next door could not tell me what the message said in Spanish when I rang the number on the door upon the entrance.
Beautifully refurbished to a high standard and clean. Good location and quiet.

United StatesOur room had an ant problem. A second chair would be helpful. Only one small window can be opened. This might be an issue in summer. People coming into the building or leaving early in the morning is fairly noisy.
The location is convenient. The rooms face the back of the building, so street noise should not be a concern. The rooms are large, have closets and a table with one chair.

SpainMaybe they could give to every guest a couple of flacons of shampoo/shower gel instead of one at night
I went to hostal Gravina twice in the last month: I have always found a wonderful welcome staff, a clean and comfortable room in a building in the center of the village. And, last but not least, very good prices.

MoroccoNo lobby or hardly any public places to chill in the shade, inside somewhere. Lots of sun and needed shade but not in our room where my son lay sick(!)
Room 14 was perfect for me and my teenage son. Especially because it included a private terrace on the roof and twin beds. It was clean, well-lit, and airy. Quiet too.
