Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

No onsite laundry.
Lovely little property in the inner suburbs. Close to shops and public transport. Staff went out of their way to assist me when I was struggling to find them and beyond expectations in helping me park my car. Good sized room. Shared kitchen/lounge area.

Nothing!
This privately run accommodation in a residential area of Barcelona, away from the main attractions and the tourist throngs, is easily accessible by metro. My room and its bathroom were comfortable and quite spacious, with modern fittings and spotlessly clean. Guests can use a nice sitting room with fresh drinking water, kettles , a microwave oven... The owner is very friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The area offers many bars, restaurants, bakeries, shops, parks .

Far from city’s main atractions. Rather uncomfortable bed.

10 mins walk to metro stations, easily accessible from Airport or other city locations. The staff was kind and helpful. The accomodition was clean and there was no noice.We had no issue at all.

I could have done with a heated towel rail in my bathroom. The towels never seemed to totally dry Apart from that, this accommodation is brilliant for a short stay in Barcelona
The room was modern and spotlessly clean. It had everything you could need for your stay. The staff were super helpful and helped me to decide what to do during my short stay The accommodation is a little way from the main city centre but is within walking distance if you are reasonably fit, and there are good transport links to the city centre. It is a residential area so you see genuine Spanish people and eat local food in local restaurants

The raised shower plate without a handle to safely climb down was a bit dangerous and the room walls were a bit thin, you could easily hear what was happening in the common/other rooms.
The rooms are modern and comfortable, great furnished kitchen to quickly whip up something for breakfast or a quick lunch. The in-room water heater works wonders for tea and coffee. The staff was extra helpful and nice.

A very enjoyable stay. On the first day, we were welcomed at the reception by a very nice lady who told us everything in detail. the room was clean and had everything we needed. whenever I needed help There was always someone at the reception or on the phone. I felt safe and very well served. I consider my stay to be very successful

Nice and spacious apartment, very good value for money. A bit far from the centre, but near to metro stations. Quiet and pleasant surrounding with many bars and restaurants. Good food in economic price.

Sliding door in bathroom can come off railing and is a bit awkward to get back into place
Friendly staff, family owned, very clean. Provides communal cooking area which would be good for some people. Saw the cleaner on the way out each day.

we really enjoyed our stay, owners are very helpful with great tips about places to visit, eat and how to commute in the city. The area is very safe even for two girls traveling from some night tour in the city centre back to hotel with a metro. Felt really well takes care of. Huge thank you to everyone working there. Can definitely recomend!

Very clean and tidy. Lovely shared kitchen if needed. Great location - super close to a metro and easy to access all the tourist spots but lovely quiet area to stay in. I felt very safe as a young female solo traveller. The owners are absolutely lovely and super helpful. Would absolutely stay again!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, and good value. Subway stations close by with easy connections to main landmarks. Owner even found a safe place to store our bikes during our stay, thank you.

Our room was really close to the kitchen/comunal area so it could get a bit noisy at times. Never at night though but early in the morning if you were planning to sleep in.
It’s a bit further away from the city centre but really close to two metro stations. The room and bathroom were basic but very clean. The staff was really nice and helpful (they let us leave our luggage with them after check out!).

Gino is very kind person. He shows us the most attraction in the city and give us some recommended restaurant. The room is perfect, very clean and comfortable. The quarter is safe and quiet. If I return to Barcelona I will definitely come back here!

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff (the owners?). Good location in quiet neighbourhood, 10 minutes walk to subway station. Some grocery stores in the area, also some restaurants but almost all were closed on Sundays. No meals are served but the kitchen is just fine.

A very strong smell of a diffuser in our room. But it is not a big deal. :)
Location was very accessible to transport to city centre and in a calm neighbourhood.
