Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomApart from the room being quite small it was a wonderful stay.
Superb location overlooking the city of Jaén and the olive growing area beyond and as far as you can see. Room was comfortable, but smaller than normal for a Paradore. We had the half-board option and it was worth it because it is a way out of the city. Meal was good and local cuisine, although quite limited. Staff and service was excellent as always.

United KingdomWe had dinner at the hotel once, but we found it quite heavy. There didn't seem to be many lighter meals on the menu. My wife's fish was overcooked.
Beautiful place to stay. Great view from our room. Staff at checkin were very helpful. Unforgettable hotel. Good breakfast.

United StatesThe service was inconsistent. Some excellent, some not.
Very clean. Absolutely wonderful setting. We had the corner room in the castle tower with king bed. Room would be improved with wine bottle opener and better coffee. Know that you are way above the town. Taxis are available to venture out. Location: many battles were fought here for its prime location—about 1.25 hours from Córdoba, and the same from Granada. Restaurant: The food is good. Excellent breakfast. Understaffed on one morning, so we didn’t get to order hot food. The 2 staff were swamped. Dinner: gross spinach dish. Cooked to death and under-salted. I liked the paella, served table side from big pan. Sea Bass “Sephardic Cuisine” was good. Lamb confit was good. Cannelloni was good. Albondigas—very good.

GermanyThe rooms itself are pretty standard, the shower cabin really is too small unless you are Macron. You pay for the location, but does that justify the exorbitant prices ?
Must be one of the most spectacular locations in Spain. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The grandeur of the Parador is one of a kind. Ever had breakfast in a place that feels like a castle dining hall?

CanadaThe staff in the restaurant during breakfast service could spend more time being equally attentive to all tables and less time standing talking with each other. We had finished eating and were waiting/finishing coffee before anyone checked about hot egg options. Also, hotel quests should be able to sign for restaurant meals rather than paying for them upon completion - luckily my wife could pay with her phone.
Gorgeous property located high above the town and next to the castle. Wonderful views and luxurious common areas to enjoy. The restaurant was lovely and the food served was perfect.

United KingdomWe didn’t want an all inclusive breakfast. We asked at reception if we could just have something smaller and they did this but the pricing wasn’t clear. Suggestion would be offer a ‘light’ breakfast option or to have an ‘a la carte’ menu option. We had to pay additional entrance to the castle and whilst this wasn’t much it would be a nice touch to have complimentary entry if staying in the parador.
Fantastic location. We had a lovely Mountain View from our terrace and great panoramic views over the city from around the parador. tTe building was designed and decorated to the highest standards. The bar drinks and food were excellent and reasonably priced. Proximity to the castle.

United Kingdommore tea and coffee
We had the end room large spacious, with tea making facilities they could have provided more tea and coffee but i am sure if asked it would have been there stunning setting on the top of the hill with a large vaulted room. The castle next door takes about 2hrs to go round, and a few euros for a taxi into town. for the cathedral worth a visit and the Moorish baths . well worth 2days if not 3.

GermanyEnglish can be a bit of challenge for some of the staff. But in the end one receives good service.
Newly built using the well preserved old castle walls. The only higher-grade hotel to get near the city, such as to have own parking lot and restaurant. Excellent view of a substantial part of the city (the cathedral view is obscured by trees). Need to drive up the road (in best condition) out of town and up the castle hill.

United StatesThe water filtration needs work. Water from the bathroom taps tasted of salt and heavy minerals and had a slight sulphuric smell. It also affected the taste of our coffee and tea.

LuxembourgWe hated to leave.....
The hotel is located on a promontory overlooking the entire valley - breathtaking! The facility is enormous and beautifully furnished. Our room had a balcony and we felt like we were on top of the world. The bathroom was huge and well lit. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The room furniture was perfectly chosen, well maintained and inviting. Breakfast had everything and eggs could be cooked to order. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient.
