Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaRoom was very cold. We found a heater in a closet. Staff at check in was not friendly. Language barrier so Google translate was absolutely necessary.
Good location. Good views. Budget priced. Spacious room.

PolandThe breakfast was very basic (two toasts, jam, coffee and juice) - it will not be enough if you typically start your day with more calories.
The view from the window/balcony was stunning. Casares is a beautiful place.

ItalyBreakfast starts not before then 9 so we went for a walk first. We would have liked some greater choices for breakfast
The place has got an amazing view on the hill where the village is perched The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned. Breakfast consisted of bread with jam, coffee and a glass of orange juice. Simple but good. We were a bit late to check in but they were pretty relaxed about it.

United StatesThe rooms are dated and the beds and sheets older, but still so comfortable and quiet. You have to walk for about 5 minutes down steep stone walking path to get to the hotel from the parking above.
This was our favorite place out of 10 hotels on a Spain road trip. Why? Simple old world charm with beautiful view from our small balcony at an exceptional price.

United KingdomHadn't realised the parking instructions before arrival (so almost got car stuck in very narrow, steep downhill lanes).
Basic but characterful hotel, very reasonably priced and well located. Parking a few minutes walk away on the edge of town (not actually at the property). Do not follow Google Map directions down narrow lanes. Owners gave us a map of Casares on arrival, which we appreciated. Had a lovely evening meal at Restaurante Mi Cortijo (very close, by the parking area).

PolandWhen we got there, the hotel was closed. We had to talk to the neighbours in order to know what is going on. Finally, one of the neighbours called the owner of the hotel and after some time she came to open the hotel for us. The whole situation was confusing. We didn't get any apology for that. Also the owner didn't understand anything in English.
The view from the window is amazing. The rooms are nice and clean. There are towels, soap, and shampoos.

GibraltarUnfortunately it was a smoking room (surprised these things still exist!) thankfully no smell. Needs maintenance; Bath enamel has worn away, wardrobes need a bit of sticking together. pictures on walls are old faded prints.

PolandVery little comfort, but adequate to the price. Seems that the hotel crew was just one person only (out of the season) and speaking Spanish only. Don't count on bringing luggage directly from your car. You can park 300m away and 10 floors up or 500m away and 5 floors down (from the car park roof, but there is a lift inside). Indeed, as written, the internet "worked in all public places" but the public places were limited to the corridors with no seats and 3 table breakfest room, closed whenever the crew was out or busy with her own business.
Beautiful place and the view from the window.
