Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Their air conditioning wasn't working.
We had to book at the last minute but they found us a nice room in this old but updated hotel. Loved the location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped us find some great places to eat and sip sherry at a local historical bar.

Beds were a little firmer than I care for, but that's me, and not unusual for my experience in Spain.
Great value for great location and lots of space. Really appreciated the sitting room, kitchenette was more equipped than i expected, bathroom was large and had a tub.

There were lots of very good bars and restaurants in the streets around this hotel which was a blessing and a curse as my room faced what was a very noisy street at night. The staff were lovely and the hotel was very close to everything.

Even though the housekeeper came every day to set the beds and change towels, they did not clean the floor.
The location was excellent. Breakfast was great. Very nice caring staff.

Breakfast: The breakfast was rather poor. It is worthwhile having breakfast in nearby cafe. Safe: Wasn't functioning.
Location: In one word - fantastic. 6 minutes walk to Prado museum. 7 minutes walk to the metro stations Sol and Anton Martin. 9 minutes walk to the Atocha railway station (trains to Toledo etc). Lots of cafeterias, restaurants and shops nearby. Memorial Theatre 7 minutes walk. Room: We stayed in a two-room suite. Very clean and well equipped. Small kitchenette also very clean with all the necessary equipment. Air conditioner was functioning well, although a bit too noisy. Staff: Very helpful and polite.

I wasn't used to the noisy street outside at night. But being a central location, I guess that's to be expected. Fab location for getting to all the museums on foot and shopping. .
Really lovely room, very spacious. Very helpful welcoming staff. 5*. I really enjoyed the breakfast being delivered to the room. Excellent Orange juice and coffee.

Kitchen was very small so couldn't really be used for anything other than tea/coffee. No view from the window.
Lovely comfortable room. Living area and desk was a nice touch. The breakfast was really good, served in your room. Very good location, walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Our room was right next to elevator - which was very loud. Next time I would also for room away from elevator. Also, the “full bed” was two twins pushed together.
Perfect location on quiet street in the center of Madrid. Room very big and very clean! Staff very friendly and helpful.

Nothing really. The lighting was a bit odd in the bedroom. The main switch also switched off the sockets meaning phones didn’t charge during the night and had to be charged in the kitchen.

I was very happy with Suite Prado. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Loved the breakfast delivered to our room, which was very convenient as we had an early start to catch a train. The location was really good with some lovely bars and restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Madrid.

the problem with the aircon was an issue the first night.
The location is ideal, in the midst of the restaurants, bars and general life of Las Letras, but was not noisy at night. I did have problems with my aircon but I don't think that was typical. Good apartment with a small kitchen and though I didn't have the in room breakfast it did look terrific when I saw it pass by!

Very good place to stay in Madrid. Located in the very center, huge room with small kitchen, all very clean and very helpfull staff. The breakfast is served directly to the room and it very delicouse. I fully recommend this hotel.
