Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesGiven its unmonitored and hidden nature, there should put a security camera in the luggage room. It has a lock that only guests know, but someone went through one of my bags and people were in general very disrespectful: lots of bags getting knocked over, literal shoeprints from people stepping on people’s stuff….could easily be fixed with a camera giving a sense of accountability.
Clean, efficient check-in/check-out

United KingdomIt's about a 10 minute walk to the edge of the town centre. Not too bad, but a bit of a problem given the lack of ski lockers in the town centre itself.
The place operates without staff - you get sent codes beforehand to enter the building and your room - and it works remarkably well. There is plenty of breakfast to help yourself to - tea and coffee cereals, dairy and non-dairy milk, yoghurts, breads, spreads, cheeses et - and a good kitchen. There is a lounge with comfortable sofas. There is plenty of storage space in the bedrooms and a luggage store e.g. if you need to leave things and pick them up later on the day when you check out. The other guests were really friendly. What more can you ask for, given that it's only 26 Euros a night?

New ZealandJust when booking this place, be aware of the 15min walk into the main centre zone.
Chamonix Lodge was a great stay for us, and more economical option in Chamonix which tends to be pricey. Stay was comfortable, room & bed were clean / warm and great to have breakfast food there at all hours too! Communication re check-in and check-out relatively clear & communicated via booking.com chat

United StatesThere are only 2BA there - for 8 rooms (w/ up to 4 ppl/room), so that's not a great ratio. It wasn't a huge deal, but there were a few times I had to wait a bit.

SpainThe walk to the Chamonix Sud station was a tad far when carrying all our skiing gear.
It was a great hostel to spend a weekend skiing. The breakfast options were great, and having a big kitchen was nice for cooking dinners. The check-in and check-out process was super straightforward, and it was nice to be able to leave our bags in the storage rooms before and after checking out.

New ZealandThe sauna wasn't working for most of my stay and the mattresses in the single room needed replacing.
The free breakfast and common rooms are cute and social. The size of the lodge makes it very cosy and comfortable. The location is great for a quiet relaxing stay just a 10minute walk from Chamonix Sud. It was perfect for what I needed.

MaltaIt only had two bathrooms one upstairs , one downstairs so sometime its difficult to get your turn. We were there only for a night hence it was not big of a problem for us however somebody looking for a long stay might need to consider this.
It was a cute little place. The staff was very responsive on booking.com. We reached late however the self check-in process was super smooth. they had breakfast spread in the kitchen 24 hrs so if you want you can get up late and have a late breakfast. They had a super chill backyard ideal for hanging out with friends. We could even store our extra luggage for few days here for free while we were on off doing TMB.
