Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt was good for 2 nights and the one full day we spent in Paris. Had we needed to stay longer, it would not have been a convenient. We were on the top (5th) floor, and the hotel does not have an elevator. One trip up to the room was an 80 stairs journey. They did say they had a plan for an elevator and even showed me the area it would be placed. This was my biggest issue.
We enjoyed the breakfast, and the room was good as there was three of us. We were a couple with a third adult so we needed a third bed and this hotel had this provision. It was clean and comfortable. Even though we needed to taxi or Uber to and from the city sites areas, we enjoyed the location to walk around the neighborhood of Sacre Couer. It was fun.

IrelandThe immediate area around the hotel is a little rough, particularly at the Metro station. We didn't feel entirely safe.
Overall, the location is good, situated close to a Metro station and not far from tourist sites. It's comfortable and the staff are nice.

LithuaniaThis is a basic hotel with all things in order and pleasant staff. You might be surprised how small the rooms and the place is, since in photos it looks much more spacious and somewhat better than in reality. Excellent location just near to Montmartr and a metro station.

RomaniaThe fact that when I have paid the booking, the message was that all the taxes are included and when we arrived at the hotel they asked us for the city tax (which is not cheap). It would be nice to highlight this information on the website.
The room was nice, clean and the bathroom was large enough. The hotel is located very close to the metro station, but the are is not very nice.

We actually expected the room to be a bit bigger. However, the location of the hotel is very good, with a metro line nearby. We would like to highlight one thing in particular — the highest praise goes to the staff at the reception. They were always friendly and helpful, assisting us with everything we needed or asked about.

United StatesThe only reason I took some points off: we knew it was a stairs-only hotel... but of course, we were placed on the highest floor. The front desk clerk said it was noted, but the “stairs-only” info is buried at the very bottom of the listing. And yes—the stairs are narrow, y’all.
This place is great, and I would absolutely book it again. We stayed one night because we had to catch an early train, and I was happy to see a staff member on-site that early in the morning. We couldn’t figure out how to turn on the AC, but honestly, if we really needed it, we would’ve just gone downstairs and asked. The hotel was super clean, the staff was friendly, and it's just two stoplights from the metro—or a 14-minute walk to Gare du Nord. Super convenient!

Very good location as in near the busy centre of Montmartre, that said it’s quite a run down area that may appear quite threatening- but it isn’t. It’s a clean property with good staff and I’d stay there again.

ColombiaThe bathroom sink was ridiculously small and the room curtains didn’t close all the way through, which was a problem since they are directly next to the shower and so anyone could see me taking a shower.
The lobby and the room were very clean. Easy to find.

NetherlandsI stayed here for only a couple of hours (3 to be exact) because I was feeling sick and had to catch a train in the afternoon (and had to check out from my Airbnb in the morning). The manager of the hotel was absolutely not accommodating - I had called for an early check in because of the situation I was in and on the phone this all seemed fine. When I got there he didn’t know anything about it and said I could check in at 2, even though I mentioned that I was ill and had to check out at 3. For these couple of hours I paid the full price for a night and when I asked for some breakfast when I arrived (it was 11 and the breakfast was until 10.30) - he told me breakfast was over, but after a while decided to give me some croissants. Mind you, I was sick, that’s the whole reason I was there for and so I explained to him that I couldn’t go out to get some food. After a while a homeless man came in the lobby and started to speak French to me. I told him I didn’t understand, but he kept on making direct contact with me and I felt very intimidated. I was sitting down, having the croissant while this happened but stood up to protect my luggage as I didn’t trust the situation. The homeless man kept on repeating the same question to me in English (‘do you want to do?’) and I felt scared. I’m a young woman and was there all by myself. When the man didn’t stop I shouted ‘can someone please help me?’ as the manager didn’t do anything and there were also other male guests checking out. Nobody did anything. I decided to hide from the man and he then sat down and began to eat the ‘breakfast’ I got from the hotel. Finally the manager said I could check in and I went to my room as quick as possible. I specifically asked him: why aren’t you sending him away? I feel unsafe. And he mentioned that he would do so. The staff didn’t help me get my suitcase to the room on the 4th floor (by stairs) even though I mentioned that I was there because I was ill. The story continues, nospaceleft

United KingdomI didn't like the area at night time across the road that was quite intimidating, but that was only one way the other way was quiet so that is just simply a location issue
It's a very good hotel for the price. My room was quite small but the price reflects that but it was clean and the staff were nice and it is good if you do not have a massive budget. It's about 10 minute walk to the cathedral, which is very handy
