Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaWe found breakfast and dinner overpriced. And the dinner meal was too salty and not so tasty.
It's a unique and cozy place to stay and explore Alsace region. The room was very comfortable, staff was nice. We really enjoyed staying here!

NetherlandsThere was a problem with parking (it was closed, and nobody told us about it. The swimming pool is in the middle of the breakfast zone and only in the daytime (closed in the morning)
It has a great location, antique premises, super friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. You can also buy a cremant right in the hotel. Also, there was good air-conditioning, which is critical in summer

SwedenVery nice breakfast Witherspoon everything I was looking for. I would have liked the breakfast to start at at least 7:30 since we wanted to start bicycling early on hot days. We those days had breakfast at the Boulangeri that opened early.

BelgiumThe combination of the picturesque Alsace scenery surrounding the hotel and the included amenities, such as the hammam, jacuzzi, and pool, ensures a delightful stay. For an additional charge, guests can enjoy a breakfast featuring fresh croissants and pain au chocolat, served in a charmingly restored inner courtyard. Overall, it's a wonderfully refreshing experience for a vacation

Chinabees were buzzing around the pool and a few drowned in it.
We booked two rooms and one of the room got upgraded to a suite which was generous and very comfortable. I especially like the carpeted floor. I like how the old courtyard got redone into comfortable rooms and the pool was a great bonus during the summer. I like the original style redone with comfort.

DenmarkSome of the outdoors areas could do with a good scrub and more maintainace, in particular the outdoor breakfast area, and the chairs at our balcony turned out to be broken. The price seemed a bit high, but it is a charming place.
The charm of this small hotel is related to it being an ancient farmhouse and located in a small village a bit way from the massive tourism of Alsace and the vine route. It has an authentic feel and the small suite we stayed in was comfortable and clean. There is an old patio around the first floor of the house, that has been arranged as small and a bit narrow balconies. The hotel has a lovely small pool and hot tub and also a newly renovated spa area. Limited opportunities for lunch, but there is a nice family owned bakery just across the street. Also an upcoming little restaurant with really great food in the village a few streets away. The country side and scenery around the village is beautiful.

GermanyJust two minor things. The parking situation was not ideal, but we found some nearby spots that were almost always available. Additionally, the sound insulation was not the best, we could hear our neighbors (next room) every night talking but thankfully not too late.
We recently stayed at this charming hotel in Rodern, a small town that's perfect for exploring the beautiful Alsace region. When we arrived, we were shown two rooms to choose from, which I really liked. We chose a room on the second floor. The room was spacious and comfortable with a modern bathroom. Originally we had booked only three nights but ended up staying an extra night. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. The spa was a big plus—clean and nicely maintained. On our last morning, we tried the breakfast buffet. It was tasty and had plenty of options, including the choice to order eggs the way you like them. Overall we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Alsace.

United KingdomThere is nothing that could be better, there is no need for a restaurant at this hotel because there is an excellent restaurant in the village and other one nearby. The hotel staff will even offer you an electric bike to get to the restaurants if you do not have a car!
Everything! The location of a quiet country village, the welcome, the staff friendliness, the modern well-equipped room, the conversion of the building, the garden, the spa facilities, the pool in teh garden.....the ability to park my car in the courtyard, the breakfast, the complete charm of the whole building and experience.
