Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe pool could be cleaned from all the leaves again in the afternoon. Food from the restaurant was too expensive, especially since you‘re almost „stuck“ there because it is far away from the city center. Also what bothered us, is that for a bottle of water (0.5L) you had to pay 12Q + tip of 10% even if you got it yourself. You should organize a little fridge where it should be possible to get it cheaper and without the unnecessary tip.
The view of this place was amazing, with all the animals around it was great. You were alone but keep in mind it is at least 200Q to the center of Flores (and almost no tours pick you up from that hotel) Room was comfortable and with AC. Pool is bigger than in the picture.

United Statesyou'd better rent a car. Otherwise, this would not be suitable for you to stay. since single way transportation to the island would be $15. And almost no tour will pick up from this location.
it is really good environment for vacation,

BelgiumGreat stay at this beautiful property. The views are beautiful, the rooms are very nicely decorated and the staff is very nice. The only inconvenience was that is was quite far from the centre of Flores which made excursions quite complicated. I would recommend them to set up a shuttle service as an extra service to the guests to facilitate visits and excursions.

IsraelThe place is located in the heart of nature, next to a lovely lake. The rooms are of a high standard and the restaurant and bar are excellent. Entering and exiting the resort costs a lot of money. And this should be taken into account if you are planning to travel.

Everything, we stayed more days and still had to pay for another accomodation. There was a crocodile to watch at breakfast. The food was good, the lake view, room and shared spaces were great, quiet and well designed. Clean, staff were friendly. We were a little concerned it was a little far from Flores but it was perfect, only a ten minute drive and easy to get to Tikal

AustraliaNothing - it is a bit out of the way but we had a car so it wasn't an issue for us and we enjoyed the peace and quiet.
We really enjoyed our two night stay at Villa Maya - it's in a lovely location next to the water and has a great pool and restaurant. We felt it was good value for money. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely shower and balcony.

SwitzerlandThe location is very tranquil but also very remote. If you want to do a Tikal tour only the more expensive tours will pick you up at the hotel. For the others you first have to drive to Flores which is quite costly.
Very nice room. The hotel is located in the jungle next to a lake with a beautiful sunset at night. The hotel crocodile is very cool and we saw multiple iguanas on the premise. Staff was very friendly.

United StatesThere weren't a lot of people staying there at the same time. We had a late flight and asked to have a later check out but had to pay extra. I was disturbed with that since that room could have been cleaned later since they had many unfilled rooms. This hotel had a problem providing more pillows for us too. To accommodate us they could have taken 2 pillows out of another room. I wish they had informed us about howler monkeys in the area. First time I heard the sound! It was a little scarey to hear the sound! I was glad they had phones to contact the front desk, etc. The beef prepared there was very tough to eat. They had a delicious infusion tea though.
The breakfast was very good. The table settings were lovely with incredible views. Very clean! Quiet excellent service and good food!

United KingdomWe loved this place! A real treat for New Years. The hotel is amazing and secluded with beautiful lake views (look out for Juancho the crocodile). The pools are perfect and kept super clean. The rooms were lovely with a hot shower! We ate at the restaurant throughout our stay as it’s quite far to go to Isla de Flores for food. The breakfast buffet was very reasonable with lots of options. Our main server Luis was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this beautiful place. A great place to stay before a tour of Tikal as it’s a little bit closer than Isla de Flores
