The noise echoes a little at times, I think this would be everywhere as buildings are historical with hard surfaces which makes them beautiful. This didn't effect my sleep

The only thing is there was no refrigerator in my room which I didn’t mind during my stay.

The location is fabulous in the center of town. We stayed on the second floor with a garden view which ment that we didn’t hear any of the street noise. The hotel is absolutely spotless and the breakfasts that were included in the price were generous, delicious and changed daily. We would definitely stay here again.

Internet was unstable which was really annoying. Between 2pm and 4pm there was a lot of noise from the staff's children running about and screaming. . During the night I could smell cigarette smoke from the internal patio window.

Lovely room with comfortable bed. Amazing breakfast. Great location. Although it was 30 degrees outside, the hotel was cool and airy inside. I loved the furniture and colonial style. The staff were very friendly.

A cold front arrived during our stay and at night, the rooms were very cold. No heating is available but blankets were supplied. I reserved 2 rooms, 1 for myself and one for my parents. My parents requested assistance with the TV in their room and told me the young gentleman at the front were rude and iniially not very helpful. Someone else stepped in and told the gentleman to go to the room to assist them. (I was not present and this is based on my parent's experience).

This is a great location. It is opposite a market. The rooms are very comfortable. ANd the staff veru helpful and friendly. So good we extended our stay.

It is a beautiful hotel and so clean. We had a large room that was so nice. The tour agent who works there is a great source for planning trips. She was friendly and did everything to make extra trip arrangements go smoothly. Also the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the best we’ve ever had that is included with your stay. The location is excellent. It is just down the street from the old town square, the Zocalo.

excellent location- safe, close to the city center, right across Benito Juarez Mercado and Mercado 20 de Noviembre, walking distance to shops and many restaurants exceptionally clean- no stains or smell in bathroom, no clogs in the drainage, clean sheets, great water flow and temp in the shower. The common/shared spaces such as the breakfast area, lobby and hallways are well maintained and staff are always mopping the floors, wiping windows, etc excellent breakfast- made to order local breakfast served daily with fresh fruits, pan dulce/crepes, juice, coffee/tea in a beautiful and inviting courtyard, provided with cozy and comfortable seating. wonderful staff- Monse, the front desk associate was very accommodating with all our questions, she was always happy to help us whenever we needed something translated. Luis was also very nice and everyone we met including the kitchen crew- Maria, Rebecca and Luz. They were all amazing people.

Not the hotels issue but, the room was noisy from street noise. We were there over Christmas so there was a lot going on in the center. If you are booking at Christmas or Easter, I would recommend asking for a room not on the main street side

The hotel is near the center of historic Oaxaca so it was very easy to walk to most places. Taxis were readily available and relatively cheap if you needed one

There aren’t any elevators so my 70 year old mother didn’t appreciate that, but I understand none of the hotels in the area have one.

The hotel was very clean. Our room smelled fresh , not like cleaning products but actually a clean and fresh smell.

The curtains could be improved to darken the room. The water temperature in the shower required careful control but we learned how to make this work.

The breakfast was cooked to order . About 5 options were offered. Service was super nice. The room was very quiet except for some minor noise as the staff was preparing the kitchen for breakfast. The location cannot be better...close to the zocalo but away from the noise.

The noise levels were a significant drawback. The hotel’s central location means you can hear loud music from downtown well past midnight. Additionally, the soundproofing between rooms is quite poor; the wooden doors don't block out hallway conversations or prevent cold drafts from entering the room. It was difficult to get a quiet, restful night's sleep.

Great stay overall. The room was spotlessly clean, and the entire staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast—please do not miss it. Plus, the location is perfect and made getting around the city so easy. We felt very safe getting in and out no matter what time of the day.
