After 11 PM, the staff brought in new guests and spoke quite loudly, which disturbed my rest. Also, the water pressure in the shower was very low.

The facilities are new and very clean. The staff are warm and friendly. It’s conveniently located near the train station, making travel easy.

Bed surprisingly comfortable and not clostrophobic. Friendly staff. Lots of food places around. 1 hour walk to Zaan Schans for a great day out. Close to main train station to city.

It’s a little far away from the station (10-15 min walk) but manageable. The entrance is a little hard to find. Only overhead shower head available.

Great value for the price. The view and lobby facilities are nice. The locker is big enough to fit a big suitcase.

Showers were kinda dirty and I hate how the water kept cutting off halfway and I had to keep reaching for the sensor.

I loved the warm hospitality shown to me by the staff and want to especially give a shoutout to Davide for being extremely accommodating to all my questions and requests. On my first night at the hostel, I arrived close to 1.30am, way past the check in hours stated, nonetheless, Davide greeted me warmly and showed me around, ensuring a smooth check in process without disturbing the other travellers who would already be sleeping. On my last day, upon me telling him that I was going to pull an all nighter to finish some work, he showed great interest and even offered to take a look at what I was doing to see if there was any way he could help, and if not, simply offer some moral support. Davide really went above and beyond and I would like to commend him for his excellent service and hospitality.

This was the 30th hostel I stayed at in the past 3 months. Some things that struck me as unusual is that there are no keys or key cards. There was no issue of someone walking in our dorm that didn't belong there, but there's nothing to prevent that from happening. And they make a big deal about no food or drinks besides water in the rooms. I'm guessing they had a bad experience with that at some time and created this rule to avoid another bad experience, which is a shame.

The staff was great, the pod was great and the common area and kitchen were great.

didn't like the shower that much. you can't control the water which was kind of slow than what you'd prefer. you can't hold the shower head if u want to just wash your body but not your hair. if u have thick hair it would take a long time to finish washing. Towels cost almost 5 euros.

the location. Zaandam is pretty nice, colorful and less people than most areas near the city centre i guess. the staff are nice. the hot water comes fast.

Staff were overall nice and helping. it was clean. however the upper bunkbed and also very tall locker were little bit hard for a short female person. I ended up damaging my ankle by climbing up and down stairs for 4 nights of my stay… also, it’s a smoke/drug free facility as of my understanding, I could smell weed which made me really uncomfortable.

The location is convenient within the market. The place is spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms are comfortable and provide privacy. The staff is cooperative and nice.

Everything was exceptional except for the fact that I was a bit cold while sleeping in the room. I didn’t make a complaint about it while staying there though as I assumed no heating could be added/adjusted for my sake, due to the fact that I shared the room with many other patrons. None of my three friends I was on trip with complained about the temperature in the room, but I also didn't ask them about it either so I am unsure if they felt the discomfort as well. Also, this was my first time in a hostel so I was surprised that toiletries were not provided. I was glad I could purchase a towel for bathing but I would have really liked it if I could also have purchased soap and toothpaste for sake of ease, rather than have to go out of my way and walk 5~8mins in search of a convenient store that sells them. Lastly, the beds were a bit on the stiff side for my personal taste.

1. The staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly, especially Hamish, who also was the one that checked us in and out. Hamish was very tactful and charismatic when checking us in and briefing us about the hostel's conditions of stay on our first day. On our 2nd day, we waked early and he engaged us in a friendly, non-formal conversation about our travels and what activities we could partake in in Amsterdam. I felt very good about this. 2. The Hostel was delightfully clean at all times during our stay with a sleek, modern design I admired that did not at all 'feel cheap', which I appreciated. 3. I just love how close the Hostel is to the airport (40mins with trains) It's also just as close to Amsterdam Central as well which is amazing in my opinion. 4. I love the cheap coffee machine. My friends and I were sightseeing like 15hrs a day since our stay was short (only 3 days) so we desperately needed coffee to wake us up every time. The Hostel is also pretty close to multiple Cafés for people who want a bit more. 5. Lastly, I liked that there are free coupons right before front desk. It seems like a nice little bonus for staying there. Too bad I did not get to make use of any as I only noticed the coupons on my 3rd day, which was my last.

There is a night club on top of the hostel. So loud music and vibrating walls kept me up for a long time. The party goes on until midnight. Such a downer for a lovely place. The reception did not stock/sell earbuds either, I know you can’t move move the club but please provide guests with earbuds for the inconvenience.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it enough! The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, always going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. A special shoutout to Patric, who truly went out of his way to help me. He called a taxi for me and made sure all my luggage was safely loaded into it—such a thoughtful and kind gesture that I really appreciated! The atmosphere of the hostel was warm and welcoming, and I already miss both the hostel and the beautiful area of Zaandam. It’s such a charming location with so much to explore. I would absolutely stay here again—thank you for such a memorable experience!

You cant control the water temperature for shower, it is never too cold, but sometimes it’s not warm enough to make you not shiver a bit in winter time. There’s some noise from bar upstairs but it doesn’t bother my sleep.

The bed is firm and the most comfortable bed I have among hotels in NL. Except your bedsheet, etc, they clean all the facilities everyday thoroughly, so it’s pretty clean for a hostel. It’s also walking distance from Zaandam train station (10-12 mins) and supermarket. The kitchen facilities is complete, although you need to fight for space in refrigerator. Very large communal space and beautiful window view.

On the downside, the dorms are shared with quite a few people, so it can get a bit noisy at times, especially if you're a light sleeper. Additionally, the location isn’t super close to Amsterdam's main train station, so you’ll need to account for extra travel time.

I recently stayed at this hostel and had a good overall experience. The beds were surprisingly comfy, which made for a restful sleep. It’s also incredibly cheap, making it a perfect option if you’re traveling on a budget. It’s ideal for a couple of nights if you just need a place to crash while exploring.

The main door has no, lock so anyone can walk in from the street The showers were a little cold so maybe turn up a couple degrees And the kitchen opens at 8am which is far too late. I'd suggest 6am for us early birds and people with early trains to catch Could do with another fridge in the kitchen

The toilets were not clean and floor was super dirty. It didnt get cleaned for 2 nights i stayed there. On saturday and sunday night the music in upstairs bar goes on till 3 am and the bass will bother some people.

The pods are nice and comfy and provides good privacy. Multiple toilets and washroom. Good value for money. Much better than staying in bunk bed hostels.
