Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOne thing to get used to was the walk to the gender-neutral bathrooms. It might feel a little different at first, but they were consistently clean and always available. The only downside for me personally was that the hotel doesn’t provide an iron or steamer, which would have come in handy. Overall, though, the experience was creative, comfortable, and refreshingly different.
We had breakfast at the hotel, and while it wasn’t included in the stay, it was quite affordable compared to other options in town. The buffet selection wasn’t very wide, but it was just enough to fill up and start the day right. The front desk hosts were exceptionally helpful—always available, friendly, and eager to assist with anything you needed.

NorwayThey started vaccuming at 8-9 in the morning, and you can hear everything. The room only contains a bed and almost no extra space :) The door was kinda hard as well.
It was clean and cool.

United StatesI had a room with a private bathroom, which was nice, but the water took forever to heat up and water got all over the floor unless I pointed the shower head all the way down.
It’s kwirky and enjoyed the restaurant on the first floor and close proximity to the tram.

United Kingdomwould have liked more facilities in the room, a tv or a bed side table but the room wasnt bad at all
The location is perfectly situated between 3 parks that are all a short walk away as well as a close enough distance for cheap ubers/ taxis and the hotel is really unique, quiet and clean.

United KingdomThere was hardly any staff, our room was only cleaned 1 day out of the total 4 we had stayed. No windows in the room, so it smelled as there was no air circulation. Staff at reception are also staff for the bar / restaurant connected and so the wait is a while
We was allowed an early check in with a fee but with our flight being early we liked that this was an option instead of waiting around

AustraliaThe room we were in was indeed very small. It is what I had paid for and expected... The photos were accurate. But it was probably a little more cramped than I needed solo travelling with a toddler! Saying that though... I would still come back and hopefully try a different room.
Super quirky hotel with a welcoming vibe and great restaurant attached! Facilities were clean and staff were friendly. I was also super surprised that it was so quiet within the room... We were right behind the reception desk and near the lounge and could barely hear anything. The welcome note and origami flower were a lovely touch! Thank you!

United KingdomIt was more of a hostel than a hotel so it was quite pricey for what you get. Our room was quite small so it was a good job they have a bookcase theme or no-one would have ever stayed in it (definitely not suitable for more than a few nights!)
It's nice to stay somewhere a bit 'different'. The guy on reception was fantastic and the hotel was nice and quite in the night time. We saw a few reviews about bedbugs but we didn't have any issues our room was clean.

AustraliaI was quite disappointed because the window in our room was fake, there was no natural ventilation, we had to keep the door open all the time while in the room.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, exactly like the photos, the room was clean e staff were nice. I would recommend this hotel.

AustraliaWe stayed in the crisis free zone room. The fan did absolutely nothing and doesn’t blow any air. There is no AC in the room so it was quite warm to sleep. It was high 20s degrees during the days.
Funky hostel style accommodation. Location is decent as you are out of the city and just take a 20 minute tram to central. Bed was decent but could’ve used a better pillow. Feel like all of Europe needs better pillows. Bathrooms were kept very clean at all times.

AustraliaThe rooms are tiny, but also they're really stuffy. There's a fan to circulate air, but we found we had to leave it on the entire time (including when we were out) just so we weren't sleeping in a sauna.
It's really funky. Cool setup and the bar serves amazing cocktails. The shared bathroom is cleaned regularly

NetherlandsDid not appreciate the fact that the bedroom was located next to the restaurant. One could hear all the sounds coming from the restaurant and hallway through this bedroom, until midnight or so. Impossible to sleep in those conditions.

United KingdomOnline check-in that promised to speed up check-in didnt really work. Had to enter card details but then these couldn’t be used during the actual check-in for the deposit. Shower floors could have built to drain, rather than rely on a squeegee mop. Breakfast was the biggest disapointment. Checking a little while back, I’m sure the “Kevin yes Bacon” was essentially a ‘full english’ and the “Kevin no Bacon” was a veggie version - makes sense. Currently, the Kevin yes Bacon doesnt include bacon, rather some sliced chicken, a baguette, a croissant and boiled egg. A weird collection as the boiled egg was soft and had no egg cup. The kevin no bacon was the same except no croissant or chicken and these were substituted with cucumber and a yoghurt/granola pot.
Good location near a tram line that takes you straight in to the center (#7). Easy to find and quirky and interesting inside. Room was clean and tidy, as was the shared bathroom; not quite a hostel and not quite a hotel. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
