Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

I didn’t like that it’s on a main road, but on saying that it was good for people watching 😁
Location. Large apartment with everything you needed. Very clean. Staff were helpful. Places to eat underneath the apartments and close by. 5 minutes walk to the strip (not for me) 20 minutes walk to old town. Beaches not far away.

When we arrived they didn't have our booking, it was my birthday so ruined most of the day. The owner tried to get us in a sister apartment which was awful. We refused to stay there. The receptionist was lovely very helpful. and after all day hanging around she found us the original room. Not a great start. Once we got in it was nice.

The room is a bit old, has nothing to design, like plants, art etc. the kitchen is none for cooking, like oil, salt pepper 😔
Big room, quiet and nice location. Walkable to beach 20-30 minutes and 5 minutes restaurants and pubs.

Absolutely Loved Our Stay at Sierra da Oura! I recently stayed at Sierra da Oura in Portugal, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless huge thanks to the fantastic cleaning team who clearly take great pride in their work. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious, airy, and comfortable plenty of room to relax and unwind, which made our stay feel just like home (if not better!). It’s rare to find a place that combines cleanliness, comfort, and space so perfectly. I would absolutely recommend Sierra da Oura to anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free stay in Portugal. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Very little issues - Situated on a main busy road so there is some noise if you sleep in the living room. No remote control for bedroom air conditioning unit. Living room could do with a lamp as otherwise sat in bright lights and maybe a hair dryer would be helpful.
Great location, 5 mins from the main strip with almost no noise heard from there) and 15 mins from the old town. (4 euro in uber) Spotlessly clean in and around with apartments cleaned daily with fresh towels. Apartments are good size with functional kitchen , plenty of wardrobe storage, 1 x bed in living area which goes into double bed, 1 x single and double in bedroom. Ironing equipment and plenty of utensils in kitchen with hob, oven and large fridge with freezer. Air conditioning in both rooms. Good shower with shampoo & shower gel available. Looks like newly fitted Pool which is good size with sun beds, umbrellas for shade and cushions. Reception very helpful with any issues brought to them, held our luggage before and after checkout There’s some businesses in the same block of rooms, sandwich shop, mini mart, Indian restaurant, Portuguese restaurant.

I couldn't.t fault the place. We had to wait until 2:30 to check in but I can live with that.
The location was great. the staff were very helpful. I visited in mid April and so the accommodation was quiet which I liked.

Lovely and quiet,but near enough to old town, either by walking about 25min or by train 5 min,new town a five minute walk but more suitable for younger crowd,old town loads of life also but a little less noisy.

Great location between the Old Town (15/20 mins walk) and the strip & close enough to Oura beach. Lovely, quiet, clean apartments, shower was very powerful, beds were really comfy and kitchen facilities were great. Pool area looked great but didn't get to use it, nice restaurants close by. Friendly & helpful staff.

A lot less practical than it looks. The king bed is, for example, just 2 little beds standing next to each other, though in the booking it wasn't. Bathroom has a bath but just 2-3 minutes of hot water, making me he bathtub unusable.
A cozy and good-looking apartment with a very pleasant-feeling bedroom. The kitchen is also quite full with useful utilities.

Very clean, fully equipped holiday apartment. Excellently located in walking distance between the strip (5min) and the main beach (15min). Staff was very friendly, Dona Cecilia went an extra mile.

Balcony is a little small, but this is a tiny detail.
Loved the apartment, had everything we needed and it was clean and comfortable. Location great, close enough to everything to be easy walking distance, but not so close that you're disturbed by noise.

Very clean, polite friendly staff and handy location. Indian and Portuguese restaurants next door as well as sandwich bar. Convenience shops and mini markets close by. 20 mins approx walk into Old Town, 5 mins from strip.

It’s just perfect! I had been there before, and I intend to comeback!
Very clean, great spot! Close to many beaches restaurants and shops. Taxis and Ubers always available.

Not really a complaint, we had some crap weather, so a bigger tv would have nicer at times
Apt was very clean, excellent location, 5 min walk to “the strip”, 10 min to shopping mall, 20 min to Old Town. 10 min to the beach.Staff were great, especially Bruno at the front desk.
