Our stay was wonderful! We were especially impressed by the thoughtfulness of the cleaning staff and reception. Little gestures like chocolates on the pillow and sweets at the entrance made a difference, making us feel welcome and as though we were spending time in a family home—unlike other places. The local treats, apples, coffee, and tea available throughout the day were a nice, thoughtful addition. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the view of the port from our room was very nice. We enjoyed waking up to the gentle sound of church bells in the morning, and the refreshing little terrace was perfect for relaxing. The breakfast, which was included, was truly delicious and a great way to start the day. We can’t wait to come back!

Very difficult to find b/c it's simply a doorway with a small sign above it.

It's small (I think it was a house once) but within an excellent courtyard. Very clean and the owner is very personable. It's located near the center of Velas near a number of restaurants and the town center and it's close to the water. Has a nice continental breakfast.

I liked unusual things like fruit and cookie basket plus a fridge we can use and of course wonderful view of the Pico volcano from the patio at breakfast.

The beds were comfortable but mine may need to be updated since it was a little softer than most twins I’ve had in Portugal. Overall, I stayed 5 nights and can’t really complain!

This is a cute small bed and breakfast. Our room was clean with excellent air conditioner. It’s located in the small town area by the ocean. The ferry is very close and in walking distance. We took it to Pico to spend the day. The breakfast is nice with various breads and local cheeses which I love. There is also fresh fruit… coffee and tea. The tourist office is nearby and they offered various tour guides. The cute parks nearby have WiFi as well as the hotel. There is a natural swimming pool very close by as well. I think this is an excellent choice hotel for this island.

This accomodation is very expensive. I stay here two nights, it cost me around 200€. Then i stay also 2 nights in “hotel sao jorge garden” whitch is like 800m away from Casa Do Antonio and it cost also around 200€ but the diference is that this hotel have pool, huge breakfast, bar and everything that big hotels have.. Casa do Antonio is guesthouse not hotel.. so if you can choose, go to hotel sao jorge garden, but if it is full Casa do Antonio is ok

In some respects feels more like a boutique hotel than a B and B. Beautifully furnished and in a lovely location looking over the sea towards Pico. Lovely breakfast and very clean. Good value for money too. Would certainly recommend. Antonio the host is charming and very helpful.

Antonio was really nice and waited for me until midnight because the ferry was late. It is a 3 minutes walk from the port wich was very convinient as I arrived late. The view from my room on Pico and the church was veeeery pretty in the morning. And the breakfast was simple but good with various breads. . Will definitely recommend this place for someone arriving late by the ferry or want to stay a few days in Velas.

Very close to and overlooking ferry dock. Staff was very helpful. They also have tour company, so you could reach out before arrival for help with getting around the island. Great value.

everything was amazing! the location is in front of the harbor with amazing view to Pico mountain! the room was clean! you can also find a disposable soap!!! the breakfast outside in the small terrace was an experience!!! you have a different choices and the homemade jam was delicious! Antonio is an incredible artist and the house is full of his creations!! he was so kind to wait us outside the house and helpful! we had a great experience

The only small complaint we have is that the cereal and muesli were stale.
