I didn’t like that I was asked for a deposit of 200 euros when the standard is 50 euros and the fact that I was told to pay extra for a room with a shower. I hope you will mention this when the client is making the reservation so that it knows what he books. Also I was told that the rooms with shower are renovated while the rest are not.

In room 732 in the toilet unit there was an object looking like a thread/wire that hadn’t been flushed which was an offputting experience leaving me in doubt of whethee the cleaning had been done or not.

Our AC in room 520 didn’t work but didn’t really need it as it was cool outside. We left our door open during the night

The bathroom set up , shower in bath was too small. The plumbing, both in sink and bath was shocking. The plugs did not work and disintegrated and were filthy. There was mould all around the base of the shower screen.. The towels had seen better days. The balcony was too small to be of any useful purpose. There was one electrical socket in the bedroom and none in the bathroom .For modern business and social use, to unplug a light to be able to plug in a laptop is unacceptable. Storage for clothes, particularly shelving was too limited.

Unbelievably the hotel charges €25 a night for parking for hotel residents. If this had been communicated we could have parked on the street. The hotel is very dated/'tired' and could use a complete refurbishment to bring it back to Marriott standards.

Unfortunately, the stay did not quite live up to my expectations - very, very noisy even with the window closed, as there is a highway and planes taking off nearby. If you open the window, the noise is much louder. The room and the hotel in general are very humid and stale due to the abundance of carpets, not very "fresh" to breathe. And the rooms themselves are already asking for an update, as mold is already visible in the bathroom ((

However, we completely forgot how much road noise there is in Lisbon from the motorways, we found the road noise throughout the night almost unbearable and difficult to obtain any full sleep before continuing our journey, as such we were very tired when leaving the hotel in the morning.

The hotel is lovely with a spacious room and very comfortable beds. The staff were very obliging, helpful and polite. The bar and restaurant food was very good.

The restaurant was closed for maintenance/renovations, I was downstairs looking around and saw a restaurant there and I asked 2 of the porters from out the front if the restaurant we were standing in front of was open for dinner and they said yes and it opened at 7pm. Turns out this was the restaurant closed for the renovations. I felt they should know what is going on in their hotel.

The room decor was a bit dated and the style was very 80's. We wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and we had some with us but I did not have a corkscrew. When I called the front desk to request one they told me that they could not send one up for some unknown reason. They instead said that they would send someone up to open the bottle for us. When the person arrived they said that they could only open the cork of the bottle halfway, and then I could pull the cork out myself?? I have never heard of this restriction at any other Hotel and they could not give me a proper reason why. Very strange.

The check-in was easy and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The room service meals were awesome and the breakfast the next day was fantastic. We had a great view of Lisbon with a room on the 17th floor. The location close to the airport was ideal and made catching our early flight a breeze.
