United StatesThe Wi-Fi at the hotel is nonexistent. We could not get Wi-Fi in our room at all. I could not log into a server. I would never downrate the hotel for this, but traveler should know if they need to do any work that requires a higher Internet speed, all you will have is your cellular speed Aside from that there is nothing to dislike about this property.
The property location was very good and directly across from one of the nicer beaches on the lake. You could rent small boats or kayaks there and easy access to the beach directly across from the hotel. The hotel is extremely clean and well kept. we ate dinner in the hotel our first night and found that the owner and his wife are not only the people that check in, but the people that wait on you and cook the food. Their heart and soul is put into this Hôtel and the food was one of the best meals we’ve had in Portugal in over two weeks. It is not a fancy restaurant, but the food and the service is exceptional and should not be missed if you’re in this area even if you don’t stay in the hotel. Both Victor and Rosa are extremely kind and caring people. This has been one of our best experiences traveling Portugal. We came home one night with a bottle of wine and some food and Victor gave us a knife and plates and napkins to take to our room so we could cut up our cheese and have a plate to eat on. Rosa wakes early to make all the breads and croissants fresh for your breakfast in the morning, and the breakfast should not be missed. There is nothing like grabbing hold of a warm fresh baked roll for your breakfast along with all the other wonderful things they had for us. This was a stay we will not forget and it is highly recommended if you are in the national park

The owners themselves and staff are warm and welcoming, the food at the restaurant was excellent, it has its own parking, and it is conveniently located right across a beach access and near many interesting sightseeing points and hiking routes.

The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the view amazing. Breakfast was included with a good selection and endless coffee. We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent and great value for money. The area is picturesque with Geres national park, a 15/20 minute drive away and the Sao Bento Church, 5 minutes drive away. We stayed for 2 nights off season, so it was quiet. The couple that run the hotel couldn't do enough for us, both spoke English, so my faltering Portuguese was not a problem. It was my wifes birthday, a cake was provided and they sang happy birthday, which was a lovely touch. This summed the owners up! There's a carpark outside so it had everything for me. I definitely recommend this hotel.

PortugalIf you wish to come here out of season and expect a nice time swimming in the river, sorry you need be prepared for cold weather and rain. But its brilliant for relaxation and very queit during this time of the year.
Good location right next to the river, beautiful and serene. hosts are patient and helpful. There are some restuarants up the road - very good food and beautifil viewing points around the town.

Amazing family hotel in Geres! Staff was super friendly and service orientated. Room was spacious and had a great view to the water. AC existed and was needed in August. Restaurant offers delicious Portuguese cuisine for dinner and lunch. Had dinner there nearly every evening during our stay.

Easy parking, right in front of the hotel. Staff was friendly, good customer service. Hotel and the room were clean. Breakfast was basic. There is a beach on the other side of the road where you can go swimming and do other water sports.

Breakfast was nice and in buffet style, very nice bread served and quite few options so anyone can find something for themselves. Room nice, comfortable, good AC. Bathroom clean and nice, however shower needed 4-6 minutes running before it kept temperature warm, was cold for quite a while. Welcoming staff, nice lady on breakfast asked everyone about scrambled eggs, which I found nice as it was only warm option except toasts.

NetherlandsIn my eyes the hotel is not a 3 star but a 5 star hotel.
I felt at home with the people who welcomed you warmly at the hotel. All staff are nice and don't hesitate to help you if you have a question. The restaurant has the best chef in Portugal. There is much to do. You can eat, swim a lot and take the bus. You can take the bus to the north and easily walk to the south.
