Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRafaela was very accommodating and friendly. The location is handy to public transport etc., and very good for getting around Lisbon. Our kids loved it (although lots of walking up hills, as with anywhere in Lisbon). Having a kitchen and access to a fridge, cooking facilities was very helpful. It was perfect for our budget. Good recommendations for local food etc, which was lovely too.

United KingdomThe City tax has to be paid in cash at check -in which can be an issue as drawing money in Lisbon is charged higher on all ATMs for some reasons as compared to other places in Europe.
The Communal Kitchen was very convenient. The room size is huge and lovely. The room was on ground floor so very convenient as we did not needed to carry our luggage any where. The Bathrooms were well equipped and great showers. Location is ideal for exploring the city or going to Sintra or Cascais for a day trip

IrelandThe only downside is the lack of shower amenities, which could be improved with a small investment that would make a noticeable difference. Alternatively, there are plenty of small shops in the area where you can easily purchase what you need.
The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes from the city center, making it easy to explore the area. Although the access road is a bit steep, it’s a short distance and manageable. The hotel itself is quiet, providing a peaceful atmosphere, and it offers access to a shared, well-equipped kitchen, which is a great bonus. The WiFi is reliable.

United StatesThe shower water pressure was weak because there was a leak in the shower hose :// also the air conditioning was hard to control.
The suite had 3 beds, but we ended up using only the top floor big bed because the downstairs was a little stuffy. The receptionist wad very kind and let me check in early. For the price this place was great! Just know that it is quite uphill so we got our steps in everyday.

United KingdomWe didn’t mind it most of the time but the property is at the top of a hill so worth being aware as it is tiring if you are carrying heavy luggage in the heat, and would be tricky for someone with less mobility.
Communal kitchen area and lounge facilities are great. Ideal for families and we met other guests too.

PolandThe smell is kind of basement like. The bedroom was located on the ground floor and there was another small room downstairs in the basement that we didn’t use. The smell there was very weird. This place needs some work, rusty shampoo holders under shower could be totally thrown away as they do not serve any purpose.
Close to Rossio square, very friendly personnel. Nice restaurants like 50m away, Food recommendations from staff were perfect. The place is rather clean but need some work.

United KingdomThe street itself was quite noisy, and there were some undesirables hanging around day and late at night. Felt a bit uneasy and it was just my son & I. Could get noisy with other guests coming and going. Although this didn’t spoil our trip at all.
Lovely property with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Central to the Lisbon with so much on your doorstep. Isabella who met us on arrival was very sweet and accommodating, lovely lady! Great access in & out. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you!

United KingdomThe area is a bit iffy. It feels really ghetto. If you’re a solo paranoid traveler I’d suggest being weary. Some people got catcalled and such. It’s still safe and nothing happened to me probably though.
There’s nothing wrong with the apartment itself. Great value for money and comfortable rooms.

CanadaLocation having lot of people selling drugs and old stuffs, personally not feeling safe. Lot of hills when walking back to the property. Not enough airflow even with AC on.
Property is clean, have everything you need, full of utensils and functional kitchen. Close to all tractions on foot. Good value for the money.

RomaniaThe location is close to the centre and all the attractions in Lisbon, but is quite shady at night. Also there were big noises in the evening and morning, so if you don"t have a deep sleep, it might wake you up.
The apartment was clean and had good facilities. You can keep your luggage after check out, which was a good option for us. Also host is responsive and reliable.
