Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Its a little bit out from the city but public transportation is very accessible so its actually not a big issue.
The staffs are very nice and helpful.

Nothing to dislike.
Breakfast with lots of choices and a meal included in the evening, which was very convenient. Near to tram into city. Clean room, great shower, kettle was useful. Friendly staff. Everything we needed for our first visit to Sweden and exploring Gothenburg. Supermarkets located nearby for any extras you may need.

We were second time in this hotel - it is absolutely lovely! Breakfasts and dinners are excellent with a lot of options to choose. Generally, we are fans of Clarion Hotels :-) Rooms are cozy and very clean. Hotel staff is very helpful and answered all our questions.

When rooms were cleaned they didn't clean the floor. One night we had noisy neighbours but receptionist did go and knock. We had a kitchen but had no idea how to use the stove and couldn't find instructions. Not much of a view from room. Few more alternative options for dinner would have been nice. Dessert option would have been welcomed. Sadly we had to pay for drinks of an evening too, non alcoholic or alcoholic.
Location was perfect, we could walk or tram all over gothenburg. Food was great, so tasty! Staff were attentive on reception and in the restaurant. Ebba was so friendly, always a big smile on her face and she was great with our one year old (lots of peekaboo) - a special thank you to her!

The staff was extremely helpful and professional. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. The location of the hotel is ideal. I will definitely visit Gothenburg again and stay at the same hotel.

Remote from attractive areas in Gothenburg, but would be perfect who would travel southward. Parking is expensive (paid on App, but not through the hotel, which I don’t know if it is cheaper)

the service at the reception needs a lot of improvement. Even though I asked cleaning, it didn't happen. One day one story was told, the next day another story about the frequency of cleaning. They just gave me towels, which I had to take to the room myself. Not quite service worthy of a four-star hotel. I stayed there for four nights with three different reservations and the rooms was cleaned only once...
Breakfast was very good and it had a very wide selection. The room was a good size.

Cleaning didn’t include a quick vacuum was done, that was the only missing thing. But Sheets were arranged , towels replaced, coffee and tea sachets replaced
Prime location, friendly staff, especially “Chef Thin” who went out of her way to make adjustments to accommodate our group. Cooking separate meals for us and even a separate dish for the kids. That made the stay memorable.
