Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The only thing I dislike is that breakfast isn’t included and while the buffet offered is amazing, it is a bit pricey to go to every day. So for a longer stay you do ultimately eat out. There are some decent breakfast bars within walking distance though.
This was my second time at the Carlton and once again it was an exceptional stay. The rooms are great and the staff really go above and beyond. There is a great rooftop bar as well.

Amazing views from the room, great pool with bonus of sauna and steam room which was nice to return to after a long day of sightseeing in the heat! Felt like a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Loads of great restaurants in vicinity too. If you're getting room service, recommend the Club Sandwich !!

I stayed at the Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit for three nights and was extremely satisfied with my stay. While the hotel might be slightly more expensive than other 5-star properties in a similar location, the quality of materials used in the rooms is significantly higher, offering a truly superior level of comfort and finish. The staff were exceptionally attentive and professional, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming and refined. Each evening, I spent time on the rooftop terrace during sunset, where I was always warmly welcomed and felt genuinely well cared for. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would gladly return.

Everything is perfect in this hotel. Strategic location, good facilities, comfy and cozy room, cleanliness top notch, friendly staff...delicious food especially at breakfast. The hotel serves halal food (for muslim). Definitely will stay again.

Nit picking - the light controls in the room - so no lighting controls by the door - all controlled by switches by the bed - but different coutrols on different sides - so eg the foyer could only be switched on/off on one side, and the master switch again was only on the one side.
The total package for me - a winning combination of a quality product at a competive rate. . Staff at every touch point friendly, helpful, professional, and quick to respond. Hotel hard product really lovely, a true city centre business/leisure/family place, and the rooms visually appealing, modern, quietly luxe and immaculate - automated blinds n all. Bed comfortable, shower great, and the view from my high floor room was buzzing. Was in 2509 and watching the sun go down every evening was like a free show. Food and beverage options varied - tried Plate for a la carte breakfast one morning (I wasn't on the buffet deal) and had delicious dinners twice in Wah Lok - am a Hong Kong'er at heart and it was an exceptional menu, really nicely executed. Oh and to top it off, brilliant location - Emporium within walking distance (and Emsphere even closer), sky train station nearby, a range of restaurants, pubs, pharmacies, legit massage spas, tailors etc etc and etc all a stroll away. Don't think I'm kidding when I say this stay at the Carlton absolutely made me fall in love w Bangkok as a destination again.
