Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIn Hua Hin you'll see a large amount of Burmese workers, and they just don't have the same smiling and helpful energy as you'll find with most Thais. The ones working in the bar area by the pool just sat on their phones, and any interaction was very ... unemotional. That area could have been better kept. They don't smile. The pool area..there are day beds that have pads with tears on the fabric. It brings the look down considerably. Its so cheap to have things repaired and replaced in Thailand..to have day beds with torn mattresses for guests to see is just plane cheap and lazy. The monkey population in the area can be an issue. Not the fault of the resort, and we wouldn't let it keep us from rebooking though. The shower needs some bleach or something poured down the drain because it has that certain smell coming out of it..not sewage...just stale. The villas are built in pairs, and you can easily hear the people next door. Ask to be booked in one that isn't occupied by a neighbor. There were lots of empty ones, but for some reason they put people next to each other. Another tip, there was a bottle of coconut nectar in the fridge, it wasn't labeled by the resort like the other items, and wasn't on the price list, so we thought it was left by a previous guest. It was $4 when we checked out. Same bottle at 7-11 was $1. Always double check before assuming it's free. I think we would be happy to pay about 2000-2500 thb a night because of the location and overall shape of the rooms and property. If they can spruce up the pool area and fix the bathroom smell, many people would be happier.
The location was about as good as it gets for us. Right by the beach, right by the green line baht bus starting point, a great temple market every Tuesday and Saturday afternoon, coffee shops, fisherman village restaurants, and local Thai places (try Phrae's khao soi noodles and the other Thai shop right next to them..excellent quality and price.) We liked the size of the room, although it felt a little old. Some staff were super pleasant. The grounds were lush and well kept, except some older stuff near the pool area which needs attention. The place felt like an 8. Maybe for some a 7, maybe for others a 9..depending on the price. Remember to only book any place for 3 nights, don't be afraid to switch neighborhoods..your trip will be much more memorable and not turn into a routine staying at the same place for one week.or more. Even if you love it, Hua hin has plenty of options to keep your holiday feeling fresh. It's worth repacking and a $3 taxi ride. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful.

United KingdomRooms were in need of refurb' and all poolside areas also. Monkeys are a problem here and seem to be increasing in numbers year after year. Erratic hours of bar/restaurant, most nights closed at 7pm and sometimes 6pm. Bar was overpriced and so was food. Never enough loungers. In general this resort needs a refurb', I stayed here 4 and 5 years ago and was looking a bit frayed but has got worse as no money has been sunk back into renovations. Prices are too high and should be rated as 3 star.
Superb location.

ThailandMy 3rd visit there & booked for 5 people but only provided 2 double beds without paying 6000bart for a mattress on the floor. Looking tired know with old fixtures. Although this has always had monkeys as is located next to monkey island, this time it was horrendous, with big groups who contrary to staff were very aggressive at times. Brazenly stealing food, which I accept but this was really beyond the joke. Children were frightened.

United StatesThe wifi connection was terrible. We complained after our arrival and it got fixed however it still was very bad. I could not access simple sites like Google. The hotel has monkeys that jump on the roofs and wake you up at 6 am. They are gone from the resort by 9 am. The beach in front of the hotel was very dirty with much trash.
The bed was comfortable. The room was a large size. I liked the cable offerings on the television.

Germanyin general, HuaHin and HuaHin beach are past their prime. The resort is a little older and you can tell. Due to the extreme beach location, it is not possible to walk on the beach at high tide, and the few sunbeds are reserved by guests early in the morning in the best Mallorca manner. The breakfast for the equivalent of 9 euros each is a joke considering the horrendous total price - rice soup or eggs in different variations with the inevitable bacon and sausages, plus really bad coffee, one type of tea, only orange juice and tough mini croissants or toast, plus 3 pre-packaged pieces of melon and papaya, sticky rice, something jelly-like and 3 small chicken kebabs for 5 people. No yoghurt, no honey, no different juices, no fresh fruit-basket. What really irritated me was that we had booked for four people and a 5-year-old child and it only turned out after booking that in addition to the known full breakfast price for the child, a cot was really princely to pay for - we then did without it! Well, and the monkeys - super-smart from sunrise and immediately at anything that looks like food - whether cigarette packets or spectacle cases.
...actually not much - we had the best bungalow with a small pool, which was quite nice for the child. The taxi terminal right in front of the hotel is pleasant.
