We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

FranceGood location but the test is pretty bad: missing the top Sheets on the beds, and we did not get any for 3 nights despite asking many Times until we met the cleaning lady who brought us some. The installation is very mini al for the price.

United StatesThe shared washroom is for the entire floor i.e. maybe 50 units. If you are not the locker room type, this is a turn off. In the shower stall, there is nowhere to put your clothes. I checked out October 19, 2024. Today is November 16, 2024. To date I have not received the damage deposit of $175 US back. That they take a $175 US damage deposit is on their website but most people do not look at this. They look at the booking service site which shows the "damage deposit" only after you have booked the room. I travelled by myself and there was no room damage. If I get the deposit back I will update my review. December 14, 2024- with the tremendous help of Booking.com, I finally got my damage deposit back. The hotel claimed to Booking that I did not return the key (new news to me!), which is not correct so when you return the key, take a picture of the desk clerk and the key. A lot of other people have complained about the "damage deposit"- see other booking services. If you see they have processed it on your credit card statement, call your credit card company right away and tell them not to pay it. Positives about this place- fabulous location, excellent fire safety ( I used to be a fire inspector) and the cleanliness was very good.

Costa RicaAn entire colony of chinese people live in that building and floor so it smelled like their cooking all the time and crowded the elevator. The bed was uncomfortable, room had no windows, there was a hair dryer but with a different connector and no outlet for it, being winter this was an issue, the TV control had a gum sticked to it. They said I had to leave the room without garbage or they wouldn't return the deposit but there wasn't a single trash can available in the building, when asked the cleaning lady (chinese) where to put the trash she said (very rudely) she didn't know. The bathroom was outside the room and the floor is old so you hear very loudly the people at night and early morning walking to it. The TV cable was not good.

United KingdomWe found out after our stay that we shared the room with a few furry friends. We never encountered them but upon unpacking our bags at another place, we discovered that food we had been keeping had the packaging nibbled through and the edges of the food had been eaten, but for the price of the room it wasn't the biggest complaint. In our room we had bunk beds which were double beds, but the top bunk had bars underneath it which had broken from the frame, and the person who slept under it felt very wary that it was going to fall on top of them whilst they slept.
It is an incredible location for exploring New York. You are close to several subway stations and a lot of sightseeing places are within walking distance or a short subway journey away. The small fridge freezer in our room helped so much as we could keep milk and butter and other things cold and we were also able to do some of our own cooking with the supplies given. We usually had breakfast in the room, lunch in the city then made dinner when we came back. There was a toaster, microwave, pots and pans and plenty of cutlery and plates.

United KingdomPoor internet service and I couldn’t believe , wifi service that I can get free of charge outside the building, I had to pay 5 dollars every 24 hours for a very poor internet signal or network. . The taxes on the hotel prices is mad and I couldn’t believe , I had to pay for bed linen fee of 53%. I have never ever experienced this throughout lodging in several hotel. I would have rather preferred them quoting the price together than to pay for hotel and add these extras . For me it was a disappointing moment for me .

United StatesVery tide inside for 4 guests. When I booked said 2 twins, and actually it was 1 twin and 1 trundle, plus a full bed. Mattress very hard. 1 set of towels for 8 nights. I requested more trash bags, since they left 3 total and never got it. Had to buy more. Same with toilet paper, they left 2 for 4 guests for 8 nights. I requested more, never got it. Had to buy more. Si Fe it has a kitchenette For 4 guests, I expect to find 4 forks, 4 knives, 4 tea spoons and 4 spoons. There weren’t enough for 4 guests. And I wish it was a dresser or shelves on the wall. Really hard to find our clothes for 4 guests, 8 nights and there is not place we’re to put the clothes.
Location, location, location!!! Wonderful location, easy access, subway very closed, walking distance. Nice to have a Private bathroom.
