Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe septic doesn’t allow for flushing of TP. This may be an Alaska thing due to the remote location? Honestly, it was all extremely clean and hygienic.
Host was incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast was out of this world. Impeccably clean.

United StatesThe room temperature was way too hot and the shower situation. This we understand w/ so many residents living under one roof for a weekend.

AustraliaWe booked quite last minute around 2 weeks out and in peak season there may not be a great deal of good accommodation options in the area. We had the Resurrection Peak room / double room with lake view which was pretty compact and private bathroom was not attached - across corridor next to another guest's room (this was however made clear in the description), and the water supply in shower was also somewhat intermittent. It was only for these reasons on reflection I can't rate good value for money as it was also the most expensive room we have had in 3 months in the Americas (just over $1000 USD for 3 nights). Other rooms if they are available would seem larger and with en-suite and perhaps would be better value for money.
This great B&B is in a simply beautiful location next to a lake, and only a short drive to Seward for restaurants, activities etc. We took the Major Marine Tour for a full day and it was one of the best tours we have ever had for wildlife viewing as well as glaciers. Bre and her family are really lovely, taking over this business quite recently and working hard to help all their guests, they can also help with discounts on activities including the one above and there are kayaks to borrow to explore the lake. The house and room was spotlessly clean, good communication and instructions and the breakfasts were awesome - two serving times to opt for each day and rotating hot breakfast plus fruit, hot drinks and OJ.

HungaryWe spent the most special 3 days in Bre's and Joey's amazing B&B. These wonderful people will make you feel like you are home away from home. We loved everything about this house, the surroundings, its owners and their family and our fellow guests. Our room was specious and very comfortable, me, a person with sleep issues, slept here like a baby every single night. The warm breakfast was home-made with love every morning. Bre always had 1000 ideas for programmes, hiking trails, restaurants - she knows everything and everyone about the region. I will never forget this place and can't wait to be back.

United StatesThis BnB had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts and innkeeper were extremely thoughtful and clearly take a lot of pride in making the experience great. The breakfasts were very good and we liked the self-directed nature of the stay, which allowed us to do things on our own schedule. One of the highlights of our stay was the sunset paddle around Bear Lake in the provided canoe. We can’t recommend it enough!

Location is amazing. It is about 6 miles outside of Seward and we did not have a rental car. (So taxi each way is $25 plus tip. that's just fyi.) Came in on the Alaskan Railroad which is perfect! You arrive in Seward too early for check in, but Josh, with Orang Bike Delivery which is a company that stores your luggage, (right across from the train station) is gracious and kind, just like the owners of Bear Lake. Pat, Dennis and Margie are just fabulous hosts! So kind and giving and we could not have asked for a better spot while in Seaward! Breakfast was yummy! We went out on Bear lake with their canoes and it was certainly a fun time. They are fun people! Seaward was one of our favorite spots on the trip. The restaurant right across the street from the Sea Life Center with the outside patio has the best food!

United StatesThe owner met us at the the door with a baby in her arms, Had to carry our bags three flights of stairs, I rented one room for two persons and she told me I rented two rooms and was going to charge me for that, We didn't like the rooms so we left the next day. The owner charged us double the rate and would not talk to us. Had to file a police report on her . I think this was the worst place in Seward to try to stay.
