Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI've been going to Curry Village forever. I'm disappointed in the way the windows are closed off in the cafeteria all the time. It used to be so nice. But now only the bus loads of school kids gets to enjoy the windows, while everyone else is corralled into a closed off dark windowless center of the cafeteria. Ambiance is gone now. Also Curry used to have those nice old fashioned iron patio chairs on the deck, but now it's all plastic picnic tables, with no seat backs. I'm glad the lounge room, at least still has the rustic tree wood rocking chairs. In the women's shower house, the water pressure is exceedingly low and it takes a long time to rinse off because the water pressure is so low. My partner said, the water pressure was really high on the men's side, so Curry needs to even out the water pressure and raise the pressure in the women's shower. Less and less services are provided now. The lock boxes in the tent don't work. Also, the loft in Degnan's should be returned to some sort of eatery, not an employee lounge.

United StatesUnheated - pretty darn cold. Skimpy blankets. No outlet in the tent cabin.
We got an unheated tent cabin close to parking which was very convenient. The Bathroom was close, the shower a little further, but fine.

AustraliaA lack of facilities to cook your own food when in the serviced tents forced you to either buy at the restaurants in the village or have everything precooked.
Location and access was great!

AustraliaThat we had no idea what we were getting ourselves in for!! I didn't see anywhere mentioned that walking to the tent was long and not bag friendly. Or that no food was permitted in the tent or the car - so we had to lug that to the tent as well. We arrived late and in the dark (there is poor signage in the park and no mention of curry village at the entrance maps). When I asked the very vague guy checking us in if we could wheel our bags to the tent, and if it were a proper path, he'd said something like yes, it was a 5-10 walk, and it may be a bit of an adventure, but fine. It was not fine. Dirt path, rocks, tree stumps, uneven ground and (key) no lighting. We also had the tent furthest away. We'd repacked the things we'd need for the night into a smaller bag but had we known, we would have arrived prepared differently. They also didn't give the code for the shower block so we looked suspicious when we asked other campers to let us in. The restaurant times were wrong on the website but this was in our favour. The unheated tent (our only option but was assured was fine based on reviews) was cold. It dropped to -3⁰ C overnight and the extra blanket was not enough. We wore everything we had and shivered through the night. All of this would have been okay IF we were prepared. I'd suggest the correct information is clearly stated at booking and before arrival. And to improve signage! When there is no phone service it's pretty scary feeling lost in yosemite.
The location was magical and we are so happy we stayed at Curry Village. The dining hall was great to be able to comfortably eat. Being able to camp without the effort of having all the gear. Being able to make use of the whole day in the park was worth it. We'd highly recommend staying BUT be prepared! We had no idea that we weren't.

United StatesI had an elder with me and she needed to unload her items closer to the tent. She drove in and when unloading a staff person in the golf cart came up and began lecturing her, I intervened and explained to the man that we were moving, but he continued to lecture and never offered luggage drop off service, and to find out at check-out that it is a service they offer.
We just had coffee. coffee was excellent.

United StatesThe blankets provided are good quality wool but they kept falling off us and not staying put. We would have all been super cold on this 27° night in an unheated tent if I hadn't brought two sleeping bags for the kids. My husband and I were cold and miserable all night but we are telling ourselves it makes for a funny memory.
Location can't be beat. Staff is very accommodating, helpful, welcoming. Good customer service. The additions of the Peet's and eating are great. Liked the separate quiet lounge with fireplace and wifi. Showers and bathrooms are excellent and we appreciated out tents close proximity to them. Towels were provided, which was a bonus considering it was a tent. Showers have soap dispensers. Thank you!!

Czech RepublicThe obvious advantage is being right in the center of the valley, heating worked quite well and there is a bus stop nearby (for the free valley shuttle). You cannot properly lock yourself in (there's just a small latch) and all of your food needs to be kept in the bear proof box in front of your tent house. Everything was tidy and clean. The staff is very helpful and nice. Showers and restrooms are located in separate buildings (like 4 for the village) to which you have to remember the code given at check in. Wifi is there as well for some areas might be too weak, my tent was on the edge. There is just one chair (simple rack and beds and just one electrical outlet.

IndiaI know people come for the experience but as a solo traveller, I really need my phone to plan hikes and do anything basically. No power outlets and no wifi in the room is a bit too much for 2025 and 150€. Everything else was great and room was clean and tidy.

United StatesLoved the heated tent. It was simple but warm and comfortable. Make sure your tent window flaps are down or it won’t heat well. Floor could’ve been cleaner but since it’s wood it’s understandable. Neighbors were loud which you can obviously hear through canvas.

United StatesThe description of the stay from booking.com seemed to imply wifi would be available at the tents but this is not the case, it’s only in the main area. This wasn’t a huge deal but just made it difficult to communicate as I expected to have wifi and didn’t bring other communication devices. Also not being able to make simple food or eat simple food at the tents was annoying.
