Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt was a lot different from what it was years ago. There was no room service! The bar and restaurants were very very expensive! I didn’t care too much for the remodel. I think they added too much!
You can’t get any closer to the ocean! It’s a beautiful historic building and the grounds are beautiful!

United KingdomWe went for NYE and it was very busy so it was all a bit chaotic. 18 dollars for an orange juice in the morning is a joke. We were told for room service we needed to use a QR code, we didn't have this in the room and they never sent it to us (lacking on the customer service)
The hotel was beautiful, the room was huge! Wish we'd had more time to explore!

United StatesI booked two rooms under one reservation and had written confirmation. When one guest checked in early, the front desk failed to recognize the second room and later told me I had “already checked in,” which was completely incorrect. This was a basic check-in failure that caused unnecessary stress and delays after a long day of travel. Multi-room reservations should be verified properly. This situation was avoidable and unacceptable.

United StatesPrices for the food was very high. $8 for a small bottle of water in their market. $89 per nite for parking. Personnel knew little about the property. Told us upon checking we didn’t need reservations for the restaurant and we went down and was told one hour at least. Many other examples of lack of knowledge about the hotel.

United StatesThe quality of the high-end dining was really poor. We were so looking forward to our nights at the Veranda and Nobu. Both were completely down. The food was super average at both. Service at Nobu was the worst I’ve experienced at this level restaurant

United StatesHow the general public was mixed in with the paying guests to get into the pool ( lax security) felt like caddy shack at the pool…paying for parking was a bummer on top of the overpriced rate …. our lights didn’t work in the bathroom they came snd fixed it but it was after showering and getting ready for dinner in the dark????
I have always wanted to stay here. I t was way overpriced and then I had to pay 60$ extra for parking ( self) that was not very conveniently located… beach chairs and umbrellas were extra …. so it didn’t really feel that comfortable on the beach. The pool was overcrowded and entry door was not in service and it felt like caddy shack at pool and we barely got a chair! The general public was mixed in and had the same privileges as the paying guest…. that part was a bummer ….. I felt like I paid and was still tested like the public as they had access to just about everything that I overpaid for …. it was quite the disappointment that I hadn’t expected ☹️ I will never pay that much to ever stay in a hotel that is overcrowded with the public .. one time was enough ….. they did let me checkin in early so me and my daughter could explore the area ….. so that was a plus …… overall a okay experience….. but wayyyyyy overpriced!!!!

United StatesThe bed was very uncomfortable--very bumpy and I couldn't lay flat. The showerhead was gross-had black gunk that fell off when I turned it on the first time and the water pressure of the sink and the shower was so bad we gave up on trying to wash off the sand and sunscreen.
